I wake up to the sun beaming in my face, turning over just to feel wet drool on my cheek. I sit up and my phone starts buzzing. I pick it up to see that it is Bianca FaceTiming.

The day has finally come. The day I had been waiting for ages. I slide the button to answer Bianca and I see her getting into her car and propping up the phone on the dashboard.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Did you just wake up?" she asks.

"Shut up, how are you already ready? It's eight in the morning." I respond.

"I need to say bye to you before you leave. I'm going to be so far from you," she frowns.

"Okay," I say as I set my phone back down and run to the bathroom.

After I shower, I wear my cropped tank with sweatpants, ready for the long drive that will take place over the next few days. I let my hair down from the clip it was in and open all the drawers making sure I didn't forget a hairbrush, hair ties, or any skincare items. Once I get out of the bathroom, I see Bianca lying on my freshly made bed. It looks like she made it while I was in the bathroom.

"Thanks," I laugh.

"No problem, now let's load up whatever is left."

"Chill, it's only 8:20," I groan.

I grab my charger, phone, and last-minute items from my room that I want to take with me. Bianca heads down the stairs and I follow behind her shortly after taking one last look at my room. I guess I won't be seeing it until December.

All of my dorm essentials and decorations are loaded in the minivan that my mom is taking and my clothing and other belongings are in Chris' car that we are going in together. Bianca helps load in the last-minute items before I go.

"Hey, I'm gonna miss you," I smile, trying my hardest not to cry.

"Call me whenever and make new friends."

"You too. You're going to have plenty of friends at Northeastern," I hug her and I tear slips out. "And you might be able to reconnect with Colin, who knows," I joke. After Bianca found out that Colin talks to a lot of girls, she stopped talking to him. It was completely reasonable, but I still do wish they worked out. I could be friends with Gavin too.

"Hell no," she laughs. Now she's crying. We promised each other we wouldn't cry when saying bye to one another. It's too cheesy, yet here we are.

She opens the door to the passenger side and I hop in. Chris gets in the driver's seat, turns the ignition, and rolls the window down.

"Call me if you need anything and please be safe," my mom calls out.

"We'll be fine," I shout back.

"Bye guys, I'll meet you there," Mom yells.

"Bye!" Chris and I yell to Bianca and Mom as I wave and he pulls out of the driveway.

I look at my house one more time as he drives off my street.

"Finally going to be on my own," I laugh.

"I know you couldn't wait," he responds smiling.

"I'm gonna connect to the aux."

"Okay, but it's better not be One Direction."

"Shut up, I know you like it. I've literally caught you dancing to it in your room."

He scoffs and I start blasting Taylor Swift. I see a slight smirk on his face, knowing exactly what's about to happen.

"Yeah, we're happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time, it's miserable and magical, oh yeah..," he screams at the top of his lungs.
