"And that's a wrap guys! Assignment is due on Thursday and nothing less than 4000 words! See y'all next class.." The professor's overly cheerful outro drowned out amongst the voices of the stampede exiting the class.
Hoseok groaned in frustration. The workload of the semester was quite demanding and he wanted nothing more than to ditch college and join a boy band, probably become the next Harry Styles or shit.
Harry Styles tho?
Nah, he'd probably be weird Louis.
He made his way through the crowd, walking towards the caf in hopes of finding his best friends.
"Finally! Bitch, what took your skittle ass so long? Jungkook was already planning your funeral" Seokjin huffed with his perfectly manicured nails shining obnoxiously.
"Philosophy pop quiz. Don't ask"
Being a dance major in a prestigious University was amazing. It had always been Hoseok's dream to professionally dance. Unfortunately, it also meant hard work and lots of study. Ironic really because he didn't need to study shit to be good dancer.
Which he was.
A damn good one.
Jungkook didn't even glance his direction and continued playing piano tiles on his shitty phone. Yes, the phone was broken and he taped it. Badass Jk refused to fix the phone and fucking taped it instead.
[A/N: That shit still makes me laugh 🤣]
Jin turned his attention to Jungkook while admiring his beauty on his phone camera.
"Are we still having the hangout at your place today, Jk?""Actually no. My roommate is having dinner with his parents around and apparently, they won't be too pleased to see a tattooed man with piercings as his roommate" he answered with an eyeroll, eyes never leaving the game he was playing. Jin huffed again in annoyance at his response. He despised people with such old school mentalities. For heaven's sake, it's the 21st century, every one has a tattoo and at least an ear piercing.
"Urggh, adults" he sassed and looked at Hoseok "I guess it's your dorm, buddy."
"Sure but I won't be able to participate. I have an assignment due in the next two days and I'll be busy"
"No problem. Just make sure to get rid of your cum socks before we get there. I don't want to accidentally step on your future daughter"
"Hyung! I don't have that shit and you know it!" Hoseok was highly offended by the assumption.
Jin just shrugged it off and Jungkook chimed in.
"It is a reasonable assumption. Like, when last did you go on a date, talk less of get laid?" He arched a brow and hoseok had nothing to say to that. That was a low blow and it left him speechless.
Truth was, his dates were like periods, coming only once in a while and being quite painful. They never called back and usually avoided him altogether. Many people thought he was too cheerful or dressed too colorful or just didn't want him for one reason or the other. He didn't notice this, he just felt like they hadn't established a connection.
"Speaking of dates, here comes Mr loverboy" Seokjin nodded towards the approaching figure behind him and on looking, it was Taehyung.
He started panicking. When Taehyung had messaged him three days ago, he thought it was a joke. Some sick prank designed to torture him into hope. Also ironic since that was his Instagram name and nickname in general. He hadn't replied and when Taehyung didn't approach him the next day, he deemed his thoughts correct.
Cause if you're interested in somebody, you meet up, right?
So he pushed it to the back of his mind and continued on with his business. But apparently, three's the lucky number cause Taehyung was approaching him right now and fuck, he was nervous.
"Hi Hoseok. Seokjin Jungkook" he nodded towards them and received a 'hello' and no response consecutively. He returned his gaze to Hoseok with slight disappointment and smiled.
"Um- hey." Hoseok mumbled
"You never replied to my message"
"Uh, yeah sorry. I've been busy, school and stuff" A lie but not important.
"Okay, so I was wondering, would you like to grab coffee with me sometime, maybe Saturday if you aren't too busy... and stuff" he added, bringing a pink blush to the brunette's cheek.
"S-sure. Yeah, coffee sounds nice" he said, barely above a whisper but that was good enough for tae who smiled again, promised to see him on Saturday and left after collecting his phone number and waving him goodbye.
Hoseok was ecstatic. Come on, it's not everyday the top student in photography followed you on Instagram and DMed you. And to top off the cherry on the cake, he wanted to grab coffee?!
"So, he asked you out on a date..?" Jin turned to the boy who was clearly trying to not burst with happiness and was failing.
"Hyung, it's not a date. We're just grabbing a cup of coffee on Saturday" Hoseok murmured and tried to keep his smile at bay. Utter failure as you guessed.
-"Mhmm, that's what a fucking date is, seokie." Jungkook dead planned, always the killjoy. Hoseok didn't pay attention to him, biting his lip in excitement and adding 'Hot date' to his planner and calender.
Maybe he would get laid afterall.

Meanwhile somewhere beyond the school premises, a boy sat down, eyeing the trio through an open window, his gaze never leaving that particular person.
Even after so long, his heart still attempting to beat itself out of his chest whenever he saw him. He was smiling now. He looked so beautiful. So so beautiful
He sighed. When would he ever get a chance with him?
Did he still remember?
Would they ever be more than just strangers?
....
And I'm done. I'm not proud of this but I can't help it. Two years of not writing has degraded my ability to compose nice drafts.
I hope no one is to disappointed with it.Catch y'all next week.
Also, am I the only one who's super excited for More being released tommorow? Nah, I can't be.
