Endless summer nights
I used to spend my nights hugging my pillow as if it were someone to keep me company.
To share our thoughts, our favorite songs maybe share our life someday.
Dreams getting me through the bright midnight, bike rides at sunset & the cold breeze from the fan.
Now it's summer again.
Just that this isn't about us. This summer is about me.
I don't get butterflies from your texts anymore & I don't fantasize about holding hands or running on empty roads.
I hold my own hand & I stopped writing about you.
I wish to feel summer 2021 again someday.
For now, I think I need time for me.
And so do you.
