The beginning of '86

2 - The Wheeler's Party

Nancy sat on her couch in the living room with her legs crossed. One of her legs was nervously bobbing up and down as she read a magazine, waiting for her friends to arrive at the party. Suddenly she heard the front door open as Mike and his friends spilled into the Wheeler's house.
"I heard we were having a party, Nancy?" Mike asked cheekily, already knowing the answer. After all the kids came in, Steve Harrington followed them in and waved to Nancy.
"Hey Nance." He said as he sat down on the couch beside Nancy.
Robin entered the house, awkwardly smiling and waving at Nancy. Nancy giggled, she thought Robin looked funny and quite cute to be honest.
"Hiya, Wheeler." She said as she stumbled into the kitchen and grabbed three cokes.

 As Robin made her way back to the living room, she tripped. Steve and Nancy's eyes widened. 
"Steve, go get a rag and put some water on it." Nancy said with a serious voice as she ran over to Robin.
"Ow, shit. I'm really uncoordinated, and I'm sorry I broke these." Robin said, turning to look  at the mess of coke spilled everywhere on the ground.
Nancy reached out for her hand and as Robin took it, they both looked into each other's eyes.
Her eyes are really pretty. They both thought.
Robin groaned as she stood up and Nancy kept holding on the her hand, guiding her to the couch. Robin sat on the couch with a sigh of relief.
"Are you okay? I mean obviously not but-" Nancy laughed weakly.
"Yeah, I think I'm alright." Robin said reassuringly, looking into Nancy's eyes again.

Steve brought over the wet rag and handed it to Nancy.
"Thank you, Steve." Nancy said with a soft tone.
I wish my name was Steve. Or I just wish she would talk to me like that.

Nancy rubbed the rag carefully on Robins face as she blinked repeatedly.
"Ow, why are you rubbing my face so much? I'm not that dirty, am I?" Robin complained.
Nancy laughed. "Of course not, I just want to make sure I got everything off. You don't wanna feel sticky for the rest of the time, do you?"
Robin's cheeks turned pink and she shook her head 'no'.
Nancy grabbed Robin's hand. "Woahwoahwoah-" Robin said, panicking (gayyy)
Nancy begin rubbing it with the rag, giggling about how Robin freaked out.

About 5 minutes later, Steve heard the kids chatting and went downstairs with Robin and Nancy behind him.

"We're watching Weird Science. It's my house plus, Lucas I dont know why you're disagreeing when we talked about this already! You're supposed to be on my side." Mike argued.
"Kids, kids. Please. What's going on?" Steve asked, confused and tired of their bickering. Nancy and Robin sat down on the couch.

"I'm imagining Steve as a mom and it's the best thing I've imagined in a while." Robin whispered to Nancy. Robin and Nancy both giggled and the kids were back to fighting.
"They're fighting about what movie they want to watch." Will stated calmly.
Steve sighed and put his palm on his face, thinking.
"You nut heads! Goonies is better and we all know this!" Dustin yelled.
Max and Eleven looked at each other and giggled.
"What are you ladies laughing at? Would you like to suggest something?" Dustin said, pointing at them.
"SHUT UP!" Steve yelled.
Everybody went silent after that. "How about I pick the damn movie?" Steve asked with a stern, irritated tone in his voice.
The kids on the floor nodded, deciding they really had no other choice. Steve looked around on the floor, put a random tape in the player and sat down on the couch, Steve on one side, Robin on the other with Nancy in the middle.

Dustin snapped his fingers as he realized what movie it was. "Hell yeah, Harrington!" Dustin yelled, emphasizing the Harr (pronounced hair) part.
All the kids (except a very confused El) stood up and sang. "Turn around. Look at what you see ee e ee! In her face, a mirror of your dreeeams!" They all harmonized.
Max turned to see El on the ground and reached out for her hand. El stood up and saw the lyrics on the TV and began singing along with them. (Elmax canon omg)
