The last couple of hours on the road had been torture. Having to listen to Felix scream his heart out to Taylor swift songs almost blew my ear drums out. Sadly I had forgot my headphones back at home.
"If you've got a girlfriend, I'm jealous of her, but if you're single that's honestly worse, 'cause you're so gorgeous it actually hurts!" Felix screamed "Ocean blue eyes looking in mine, I feel like I might sink and drown and die!"
"Felix please" Lennon begged as she covers her ears, I'm guessing she left her headphones at home too.
"Hey Felix honey how about you cool off for a bit," Mom said then quickly look at him through the rear-view mirror "not that we don't love your singing." She quickly adds.
"You all are clearly jealous I was blessed with the singling abilities in this family." He stated
Rolling my eyes at him I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief when I noticed we were pulling up to the beach house. Pulling into the driveway, we notice another car pull up too, it must be the Conklin's.
Slowly getting out the car the first person I see is Laurel. Laurel and Susannah have always been like second mothers to me, they treated me as if I was their own. Then I see Steven and Belly getting out the car.
I noticed that Belly had also seemed to have changed this summer. She looked so different from the last time I saw her, I couldn't help but yell out "Smelly Belly is that you!"
If you're wondering why i called her that it's because one summer I bet her five dollars she couldn't eat two whole onion, which she did. Her breath smelled horrible for two days.
She turned her head to look at me and said "I thought we agreed to never speak of that nickname again." though she was frowning I could see the amusement and joy in her eyes as she walk over to me and pulled me in a tight hug.
I just awkwardly pat her on the back, I'm not that much of a hugger now.
I then hear behind me "Hey Gwen is that you." turning around to see it was Steven that said that. I could see behind him my mother and the twins greeting Laurel.
Looking back at him I answered "It's me Stevie, looks like you got taller." Walking up to him I gave him a fist bump.
Then the front door of the beach opened and here comes Jeremiah fisher.
"What's up!" he exclaimed as he jog's over to Laurel and hugs her. He then turns to my mother and hugs her too "Hello, long time no see!"
