The Next morning I had gotten ready before breakfast was even served. So, I sat in the common room listening to the soft music that always played in the common room. I was lost in my own thoughts when Cedric walked down the stairs from the boy's dorms.

"Oh, hello there Lorelei, I didn't have a chance to talk to you during dinner last night, I missed you! I'm so glad we have the chance to talk now!" He said as you stood up to give him a hug.

"Yeah, me too Ced. How have you been?" You sat back down on the couch thinking about how good he smelled. Like coffee, old paper, and honey. He sat down next to me, our news almost touching. Your stomach erupted into butterflies. Maybe it was foolish, but I couldn't help it.

"Pretty good. How about you?" He asked in his familiar voice. His accent sounded simply like music to your ears.

"Oh, I've been great. The summer was fun and all but I am so happy to finally be back with all my friends!" You said smiling. He laughed and agreed with you. When he smiled you couldn't help but smile yourself, admiring his smile and his laugh. His laugh would forever be cemented in your mind. You already knew that you would sit in the boring classes and recall his laugh for quite a while.

Your conversation about what you did over the summer carried into other long topics before you realized that you were going to be late for your first class. You would have to ask one of your friends if they had food. Luckily you had Herboligy first with the Slytherins. I'll just ask Ireland. She's aught to have something with how much she likes food. When you got to class you were panting, but you made it on time nonetheless.

"Where were you stanky Baby G?" You hear as you sit down next to Regan.

"Long story," You say as you spot Ireland. "I'll tell you in a sec. "

You rush up to Ireland. "Do you have food? I'm really hungry. I didn't have time for food this morning." You say.

"No, I'm sorry. But you have a class with Araelynn next right? Ask her. She's bound to have snuck some food back from last night. Or even this morning." She answers apologetically.

"Yeah, your right." You say discouraged. Though this class is only an hour. I'll be fine. I say to myself as I sit back down. You were really happy that you had Herbology first thing in the morning though. Mrs. Sprout loved you. You were also looking forward to seeing how Cedric faired with plants.
