After-effects of trauma. Just read with caution*
*
*There was commotion out there. Fightingyy, someone was fighting. The voices were muffled but angry. Glass was breaking and stuff was banging into the walls. Fawn wished she knew what was going on.
Green light flashed and with it a body fell. Someone was dead. It wouldn't be the last one that day.
If she had more energy, Fawn would have tried to get out and join the battle happening above but alas, she couldn't.
"Go, hurry, Sirius!"
Sirius was there! They were trying to save her. Finally, Fawn thought, she might have a chance of getting out of the imprisonment.
The latch rattled. Curses continued to fly. Fawn crossed her fingers and held her breath.
"Shit," Sirius cursed as yet another attempt to unlock the dungeon failed.
"Move," a feminine voice commanded. "Bombarda!"
Light spilled in. Fawn was free.
"Come on Fawnie, let's get outta here."
He was so close. She could taste freedom on her lips. Fawn couldn't move. She hadn't eaten in days and the torture had gotten the best of her. All she could do was stare up at Sirius and wish for a miracle.
"Fawn, come on, we don't have all day!"
Her limbs burned with every movement, her throat was closed and her head was dizzy and confused. She wanted to go with him but physically couldn't. Tears fell down Fawn's hollow cheeks as she stared up at him with sad, dead eyes.
"You can't move can you?" Sirius ran a hand through his hair and nodded to himself. "Alright hold on."
All Fawn remembered from there forward was chaos and pain and she was lifted out of the dungeon. Dozens of curses grazed past them as Sirius ran towards the exit. The battle raged on behind. Screams of agony and laughter of victory was all Fawn heard. Everything else was a blur of color, distant noises, pain, and faded consciousness.

White. Beeping. Whispers. Pain. She was awake... somehow. The sheets surrounding Fawn felt like weights. Restriction, she was sick of the restriction.
A healer noticed something was different and bustled over. A murmur of questions that Fawn couldn't answer were asked. Vitals were taken but Fawn didn't understand what the results the healer read off to her meant.
Fawn opened her mouth but all that came out was a hiss-type sound followed up with pain.
"You can't speak sweetie," the healer that was not much older than Fawn said. "Your vocal cords were severely damaged."
Well couldn't that be fixed? Fawn wanted to ask. That was the only bit of damage not directly caused by dark magic. There had to be a cure for that...right? Her mind was still fuzzy so she didn't notice that the healer had already left to tend to another patient.
Where was Harry? He had to be here somewhere. They had been fighting together after all. Ron and Hermione were at the battle in the Ministry too. Where were they? Had she been the only one injured enough to be sent to St. Mungos?
No, because Hermione had been hit with a purple curse and passed out instantly so she had to be around here somewhere.
Fawn stretched her fingers slowly and was happy to find they moved with minimal pain.
