"What are you doing on Saturday?" Louis asked one afternoon while they were watching some tv-show.

"I don't know?" Harry replied.

"Wanna go to The Dome?" Louis asked.

"Really? Can you? I mean, if it's too much we can wait, Lou." Harry answered.

"I'm fine. I can walk without crutches and me mum has given me clearance." Louis grinned.

Three weeks had passed since he came home from the hospital and he had worked hard every day to get back in shape. Harry stopped by most days after school and they always hung out on the weekends. He had introduced Niall to him and Zayn brought Liam with him. Louis' old friends were all in College but he had talked to them over the phone and they were coming home for Christmas and they had plans to hang out then. His life may be on hold but he was on track.

"Yeah, okay. Let's go to The Dome!" Harry smiled.

They snuggled a lot. Watched movies sharing a blanket. There had been several moments where they could have kissed but Louis wanted to make it right. Take Harry on a date, kiss him on the porch. Make it romantic. Harry deserved that.

They were both nervous but excited when Saturday arrived. Jay drove them to The Dome. She held a whole lecture when they were about to get out of the car about Louis taking it easy and that he would call her if anything happened or if he got tired. Louis rolled his eyes at her.
"I'll be fine, mum."

They walked inside. Since ice skating probably would be too much for Louis to handle at the moment they had decided to go to the indoor water park instead. Louis paid for both of them and they headed to the locker room to change into their swim trunks. They were both a little shy getting undressed and stole glances as soon as they were in their swim trunks.

They spent an hour going on water slides and they were both giggling and having fun. Harry noticed that Louis was getting tired and suggested that they would get up and get something to eat. They hit the shower and changed before they headed to the food area. Louis ordered them burgers and they sat down to eat.
"I had so much fun today." Harry smiled.

"Past sentence? The date isn't over yet." Louis winked and put some fries in his mouth.

"I'm having so much fun." Harry corrected and gave Louis a dimpled smile.

"Me too." Louis assured him.

They laughed their way through the meal and then they just walked around for a while. Louis took Harry's hand in his. They watched people ice skate. Harry noticed that Louis looked tired.
"We should go. You need to rest."

"All I do is rest." Louis sighed.

"Not true, and you have a lifetime ahead of you doing whatever you wanna do. Now you need to rest." Harry smiled softly.

Louis called his mum and she came to pick them up. She drove Harry home to her old house. Louis got out to walk Harry to the door. They stopped on the porch. Louis turned to Harry and took both his hands. They pressed their palms against each other and gazed into each other's eyes.
"Can I kiss you?" Louis asked.

Harry smiled and nodded his head. Louis cupped his face and leaned in. He softly pressed his lips against Harry's. They opened their mouths slightly and shared a perfect first kiss. They were both beaming when they broke free.
"See you tomorrow?" Louis asked.

"Tomorrow." Harry agreed.

He headed inside and leaned his back against the door with a goofy smile. He just had his first kiss with the boy he liked. He touched his lips in wonder.

Louis returned to the car and he couldn't stop smiling. Jay looked at him and started smiling as well.
"You seem happy."

"I am." Louis beamed.

They drove back home. Harry walked into the kitchen just to find his mum making tea.
"Did you have fun with Louis?"

"It was perfect, mum." Harry beamed.

She offered him a cup of tea and he sat at the kitchen table.
"I'm glad he's doing better. I can't even imagine what that family had been through." Anne shuddered.

"Yeah." Harry replied absent-mindedly. He replayed the kiss in his head.

"Well, I never really understood where you two met him but I'm glad you're being such a good friend to him." Anne smiled.

"Yeah, uhm mum?" Harry gulped nervously.

"Yes?" His mum smiled and gave him his full attention.

"Today was more like uhm, a date." Harry managed to get out and anxiously waited for his mother's reaction.

She wrinkled her eyebrows and he was about to burst into tears.
"You're too young to date!"

"I'm almost 17! Gemma went on dates when she was my age." Harry protested.

"That's true. You have to stop growing. You make me feel old!" Anne laughed.

Harry bit his lip.
"So me dating a boy?"

He stared at his mother with big eyes. She just smiled and caressed his cheek.
"I love you. As long as you're happy, I'm happy."

"Thanks, mum." Harry beamed.

"So tell me all about the date." Anne said and refilled their tea cups.

The next day Harry headed over to Louis'. He was in bed resting and Harry climbed into bed and laid next to him.
"Hi."

"Hi." Louis smiled sleepily.

"I'm sorry that I woke you up." Harry said softly.

"Don't be silly." Louis said.

He turned to the side and caressed Harry's hair before he leaned over and connected their lips. They made out until they had to come up for air. Louis smiled.
"I think you have already figured this out but I'm just gonna put it out there. I'm in love with you. I fell in love with you as a ghost, which is fucking weird but it is what it is."

Harry giggled.
"I think I'm the weirder one because I fell in love with you when you were a ghost. I'm in love with you too."

"Good." Louis beamed and pecked his lips.

Harry looked into his eyes. He finally knew what color they were.
Ocean blue.
