Long mission

Summary: Din is on a long mission trying to catch his target while Luke is missing him

Note : at this time line they are already a couple, not married tho :). In the end there is another note but it's specifically about me and my life so if you're only here for the content you don't need to read it.

Luke woke up as usual to a half empty bed space, it started to drain him. He is not a clingy person, but when you haven't heard anything from your lover for the past month you just start to both worry and loose your mind.

He got up and dressed in dark robes. Luke went to wake up Grogu for his training. Grogu has made some amazing progress over the 5 months when they first met. He now can pick up with force a whole tree, and it's not the only thing his little mind can do.

Their day went like always. Meditation, fighting, controlling the force, and free time. It may not seem like much but because Grogu is only 1 foot tall it takes a lot of energy to do stuff like this, it is even impressing how much he had learned.

When for Luke and grogu, the sun was setting, Din still was just waking up. The mandelorian also missed both the kid and his boyfriend, but he had to catch his bounty. He and Cara were on the same mission, they are supposed to kill the new king of a small planet, Quarno. It sounded easy at the start, Din thought that it would take at max 5 days, while Cara was counting hours, neither did he and Cara thought it would take so long. Turns out the king has a really good army, while he himself is an ex-warrior.

Din was counting days until he will be able to finally leave the planet and come back to the warmth of his little family. And Cara was just tired of the bad food here. They decided that it's either now or never. Their 'plan' was to just attack everyone and everything, because the past 'lets try to be careful' month didn't end up the best. They rushed to the palace where the king lived. It was early in the morning, so the king would be asleep. They've been studying the life of their target so they were sure about it. Din went first, pulling his blaster out and shooting at the guards, while Cara ran straight upstairs to the king's bedroom. Mandelorian killed all the guards on floor one, but he yet hears the next one coming. Cara slipped through the halls finally finding the bedroom, she decided to go extra and kicked the door out. The king indeed was still asleep. She quickly ended his life with pure happiness, like a child when it finally gets the lollipop it was staring at for the past 5 minutes in the alley. Din was still finishing the guards, after Cara went through 5 stages of heaven she decided to help her friend.

After they were done and got the credits, Cara went to her favourite bar and got drunk. Din wanted to do the same but he had some better things to do. They traded quick 'byes' as he was going inside his ship. Because of the helmet, nobody saw but din was smiling just at the thought of finally getting to hug Luke and his son.

It was a late night for Luke already, but he still was not asleep. It was hard for him to sleep while Din was not with him. He has nightmares coming back every night so bad that he would rather not sleep at all than deal with them. He stood up from the bed he was sitting on to take a walk around the place to get his mind off. After few minutes he heard a ship flying above his head, his eyes lighten up at the realization that his Din is finally back. He quickly rushed to the place the ship has landed, he got there just as Din was hopping out of the Razor Crast. Din started to walk towards Luke, and Luke did the same. When they were close enough Din hugged Luke as tight as possible, hiding his face in the neck of his lover. Luke hugged back. Both of them enjoyed the company and warmth for about a minute before Din backed off, he put his hands on Luke's face cheeks, trying not to cry. Luke put his left hand on Din's, as he melted into the touch.
' I missed you so much ' Din stuttered, he may not be the best at explaining his feelings, but he tries his best.
' I missed you too ' Luke responded shortly, they both were tired and even tho they wanted to spend the most time with each other, they needed to have actually good sleep. They walked back home, holding hands and as close as possible. In the house Din took off his armor and changed clothing. When he was got ready Luke was already sleeping in the bed, he was supposed to wait for Din but the tiredness had won. Din went under the sheets, he wanted to get some rest but before that he started at Luke's face. Even tho he had seen it millions of times, he still loved every part of it. The month made him remember how much he loved that man, he can't wait to also hug grogu tomorrow, but that's for later. Din cuddled up to Luke, drifting off to peaceful and deserved sleep.

Note: my apologies if it sucks :(. I tired my best...anyways. Tomorrow, well basically today is the last day of school, the summer is starting. It's 1:23 am and I have to get up before 9:20am so I guess I can do that but I need at least 11 hours to actually get a nice sleep so I'm basically going to be a half dead zombie over there.
