"let's go guys" findlay says, leading the way down the corridor with his date. i stay behind them holding onto alex's arm, actually kinda nervous. i filled him in earlier on everything and he seemed pretty happy about it to be honest.
fin knocks on the door and shortly after luca answers it. the music already playing and from what i can see there's people inside already.
"hey welcome back" he says to findlay, giving him a small hug and then introducing himself to alex and jamie. "hey tate, love your outfit" he says to me, giving me a hug and small friendly kiss on the cheek.
i look around the apartment, strangers everywhere that i don't know. i hold onto alex's arm again, slightly overwhelmed. alfie comes over saying hi to us all, dressed in his summery button down shirt and jeans.
"would you guys like a drink?" luca asks us all. findlay and alex opt for a beer and i decide on having nothing right now. i'm not really a drinker anyway. "this reminds me of how much i hate parties" i say to my friends, watching findlay start dancing around trying his best to make me embarrassed.
i'm happy he's not shy around this dude he's seeing though, he's being completely himself and i love that. "so how did you both meet?" i ask, engaging in a conversation with jamie.
"on instagram actually, fin had been liking my posts for months so i just decided to message him" he explains to me.
"well, findlay did a good job at keeping it a secret from me didn't you buddy" i say to my best friend, trying to wind him up. he grabs my hand and spins me around trying to get me to dance with him to the random disco vibe music that's playing loudly. i laugh in embarrassment but prise my hand away from findlay when i meet eyes with johnny from across the room.
"ooo there's her man" fin says, kissing my cheek and winking at alex and jamie.
as johnny walks over he looks me up and down with a big smile on his face. "woah you look beautiful" he says to me, kissing my forehead like he always does and pulling my into one of his comforting hugs. "thank you" i say shyly as we stop hugging.
he shakes hands with all my friends trying to give off a good impression. "look at findlay with a little date" johnny says, winding him up, standing beside me with his arm around my waist. findlay rolls his eyes, turning a slight shade of red.
"i'm going to take my date elsewhere so you guys stop trying to embarrass me" fin says, taking hold of jamie's hand and pulling him further into the apartment.
"you gonna get up on karaoke alex?" i ask my friend who is stood in front of me. he turns around and looks at the microphone and speaker. "get a few more beers into me and i might think about it" he says with a laugh.
"i think i know them dudes from school" he adds, looking to the other side of the room at a couple of guys sat on a sofa. i put my hands on his shoulders from behind and lean over him so i can see.
johnny keeps his hands on my waist though, kinda like he wants me all to himself. "go say hi" i tell him. he turns around to look at me and smiles, "yeah i will, i'll come find you later" alex says, rubbing his hand on my head and then walking away.
i turn my attention back to johnny, seeing an almost angry expression on his face. "you good" i say, deciding to mess with him. "that guy was a little too touchy for my liking" he admits.
"oh, yeah before we left my apartment he literally just admitted that he's in love with me" i joke to him, seeing his eyebrows frown and full on rage grow on his face.
"i'm kidding, i'm kidding" i say, putting my hands on his arms, seeing him instantly relax. "are you trying to mess with me huh" he asks, stepping closer to me, a smirk on his face.
"maybe" i admit, trying my best to keep a straight face. johnny's hands find there way onto my waist just below my crop top, the warmth of them sending electricity through my body. i bring my arms around his neck, resting them there, not saying anything.
the room is a lot more busy, everyone seemed to arrive at around the same time we did. "you gonna let me kiss you?" johnny asks, looking down at my lips and then back to my eyes.
"you'll have to find out won't you" i say, keeping him on his toes completely.
he smiles and wastes no time at all to press his lips on mine softly. he pulls away again and looks at me for reassurance. i smile and he instantly kisses me again, pulling me closer by my waist. i bring one of my hands to the back of his head, gripping onto his hair lightly as he deepens the kiss.
"yes girl you get that kiss" i hear from the distance. i pull away from johnny and see findlay and jamie cheering me on.
"shut up, go kiss jamie" i say, letting go of johnny and jumping on findlay's back, we tend to wrestle a lot. "i already have" he says. i jump off him and grab hold of his shoulders, shaking him back and forth. "what!" i say excitedly.
"your man's waiting for you" fin says, pointing behind me. "ok, but you've gotta explain all this later" i say, kissing his cheek and sending him back over to jamie.
"sorry, i've just not seen him with anyone he likes for a long long time" i explain to johnny, feeling like a proud parent.
"it's all good" he says, grabbing my waist and pulling me back into him, our bodies pressed against each other's. "but i want you all to myself now" he says with a cute smile on his lips. i pull him back in and place another kiss on his lips, he squeezes my waist as i tug on his hair, the kiss getting heated.
