Every summer for as long as she could remember Sophia went from New York to Cousins beach to stay at her families beach house. Her mom always went there to see her college friends Susannah and Laurel which meant Sophia got to hang out with their kids and they grew closer from childhood into their teenage years.
Something changed around her eleventh summer at Cousins and she started looking at the younger Fisher sibling differently. It was like putting in glasses after years of not seeing straight. There was no going back from how she felt. Of course she would never actually say anything.
As years passed she watched him go after other girls and guys and die inside watching it happen not wanting to ruin anything. However, she promised herself this summer would be different.
