He was looking straight at me. I backed away and he took a step forward. His grin grew wider as I began to tremble a little. I noted the blood splattered all over his face. He was twisting a knife in his hand. His eyes screamed crazy. I lost my voice, and for once, I was truly scared.

He looked at Splendid. He twisted the knife a little faster. A low giggle came from him. I took a deep breath and cleared my throat. He snapped his attention back to me. "Who are you?" I asked, trying my hardest to not let my voice tremble. He tilted his head, still giggling. "I'm you, who are you?" he asked. "I don't understand. I'm me," I replied. He laughed out loud now. "Flippy, I am you," he laughed. "What's your name then?!" I asked. "Fliqpy."

I stared at him again. I started to shake. "No... no... no... You can't be real... They said you weren't..." I whispered. "They were wrong, Flippy. I am real. I always have been. And now, thanks to those men, I am better than ever. I am more real then ever. I am finally free," he laughed. I fell off the bed and backed up to Splendid. "What did you do?" I asked. He sat on the edge of the bed. "I thanked them," he said. "Why is your face covered in blood then?!" I asked. "I told you: I thanked them. You provided me the knife, they provided me the men... All I had to do was put them out of their misery," he explained. "But unfortunately, they wound up getting a hold of me and put me in here with you. I must admit: I had so much fun," he continued. "But how...? How did they manage to get you out of me?" I asked. He shrugged. "I'm at a lost as much as you are. One minute I'm chained inside of your head, plotting; the next, sitting next to you with them running around like little confused ants. It was funny, really. They were all shouting and screaming and celebrating. I guess were you a good experiment till I found the knife in my boot," he laughed.

I stood up and slammed him against the wall. "What did you do to them!?" I demanded. He began to laugh again, staring at me. "I did a lot to them, Flippy. I just had to! The screams were just so satisfying!" he laughed. He dragged the knife across my cheek. He watched the blood drip. "It's just so beautiful..." he mumbled, grinning. His pointed teeth were white. I pressed him against the wall even more. "How many?" I asked. He traced my wound. "How many!?" I screamed. He giggled a little. "Too many to count. I lost count. So many people... I couldn't stop myself..." he giggled.

He jabbed the knife into my side. I let go of him and stepped away. I stared at the knife. The pain exploded and I grabbed the handle of the knife. He started to laugh so hard that he had to lean against the door. "That's the look! The look of fear! The look of regret! Ah, I love that face!" he laughed. Splendid rushed over to me and looked at the knife. I pushed him back a little and ripped the knife out of me. I bit my bottom lip so I wouldn't scream in agony. Fliqpy laughed even harder. I looked at him. "Why are you laughing?!" I asked. "Because of you! Acting oh-so tough! To accomplish what?! Impressing the kid?!" he laughed. I felt rage. I looked at the bloodied knife. I grabbed him and stabbed him where he stabbed me. He gagged and giggled. "So you have courage... You make me feel so alive!" he laughed. He grabbed me and slammed my head against the wall, knocking me out.

I woke up to a sharp pain in my head. I groaned and sat up, thinking it was all a nightmare. I rubbed my head, feeling a small bump. "Oi, so you finally decided to wake up. I didn't hit you that hard," someone said. I looked up and saw Fliqpy staring at me angrily. He was bandaged around his chest. I looked down at the floor. A pit sat in my stomach. "So... it wasn't a nightmare..." I mumbled. He chuckled a little. "Wake up and smell the roses, kid. We're stuck like this till we get out," he said. Splendid hugged me and I patted his blue hair. "Fliqpy, you don't plan on hurting Splendid, do you?" I asked. "I always have an itch to kill. I'm not making any promises," he replied.

The door slot opened and three trays of food slid through. Splendid grabbed them and handed them out to us. We ate in silence. I picked at the food. Splendid ate quietly. Fliqpy stared at his. I felt Fliqpy stare at me. "Look, Flippy. Eat to keep up your energy. If we're going to escape this Hell Hole, then you need the food," Fliqpy said. "Then why don't you eat?" I sneered. He shrugged. "I'm still getting used to the fact that my body is on it's own," he said. "You don't know how to eat," I snickered. He glared at me. "I never said that," he said. I laughed a little, even though it hurt. "You put the food in your mouth, chew it, and swallow," I told him. "I know!" he shot. I laughed a little more and put a spoonful of whatever it was into my mouth.

"I can't say that was my best meal," I said, looking at the ceiling. "Nor can I say it was the worst," I sighed. Fliqpy laughed a little bit. He flicked the knife's blade. "Got anything to sharpen this? I want to stab the guard that comes by," he said. I threw my pillow at him. "Like hell I'm going to let you do that," I said. He threw the knife at me. I picked it up and sighed. "Splendid, how do you keep yourself busy?" I asked. He looked up at me. "They gave me paper and crayons. They thought maybe if they gave me something to keep my head busy, the powers would seep through," he said quietly. Fliqpy took the white crayon out his hand and twirled it. "Keep the paper coming, Splendid," he said, grinning a little. "Why?" I asked, sitting up.

His grin grew. "I've got a plan." He snapped the crayon in half.
