Jackie clenched her fists as angry tears poured down her face, her whole body was shaking in suppressed rage as she looked at her inventions now scattered across her lab, destroyed! Some were drenched in water with lil sparks flashing in the dull light, others with scorch marks covering them, while others were just plain out crushed to little pieces.

She let out a scream as she grabbed something to her right and just chucked it across her now destroyed lab, throwing and roughly pushing stuff off her work table all the while still crying.

After a few minutes she just backed away from her lab station and leaned against the nearest wall all the while covering her face with her hands trying to stifle her sobs as she slowly slid down the wall, she sat down, pulling her knees to her chest. She burrowed her face into her folded knees, releasing the cries of her prolonged agony and despair.

She sat like this for a few minutes, just letting her emotions finally come out after so many years of shielding them. A few moments later a little black shadow creature showed itself, slowly curling itself around the distressed teen, in an attempt to spread some comfort to their companion. She could hear soft cooing sounds emerging from the cat-like shadow. Jackie sniffed, as she looked at the creature and whispered, "Leroy…I'm so tired of pretending." She sniffed again and continued, "Where's my happy ending?"

She got up, her knees threatening to buckle beneath her as she stood. She pulled up her hand and wiped away the tears with the sleeve of her jacket, smearing the make up that showed hidden bruises and what could only be a black eye, in the process. She looked at the mess that was once her beloved lab and sighed, as she walked toward the small area that held a bed and a nightstand with a secret compartment in the underbelly of the structure. She pulled out what looked to be a homemade booklet drawn and written by someone much younger than her. She opened the book to a certain page that read 'How To Fit In.' She sighed again, as she began, "I followed all the rules. I drew inside the lines."

She looked at the next page and gave a sad smile, "I never asked for anything that wasn't mine." She huffed as she read the next page, "I waited patiently for my time, But when it finally came." She growled as she remembered how she tried so hard to be good, to be perfect, a good human girl who tried to get by with just her brains and none of her Family's powers. She just wanted to be normal. "They still called me names." She said through clenched teeth as she crumbled up the booklet and threw it away from her in fury.

"And now I feel this overwhelming pain!" She screamed the last part out in rage as she put her arms around herself in an almost hug, "I mean, it's in my veins." She shivered at the feeling of the blocks slowly coming undone, she quickly held her head growling again, "I mean, it's in my brain." She groaned out as the block slowly started to break, she wobbled on her feet a little feeling dizzy. Her foot stepped on something on the floor that gave a loud crack, she looked down and saw the picture of when she first came to China to live with her Mother and Step-Father, old memories started to flood her mind as she looked down at it "My thoughts are running in a circle like a toy train."
