•{Takes place during season 3}•
Clementine was searching around after losing Kenny, and getting Y/N taken away from her by the New Frontier. Shes also known Y/N since birth.
"We'll get you the medicine you need Y/N. I don't care what they say." Clementine whispered while crouching her way towards the tent since she could see the medicine that they needed. Clem was holding onto Y/N, having her as covered as she can be so no one sees them. They soon made it towards the tent, Clem placed Y/N onto a cooler top and crouched down in front of her. Clementine quickly went to looking for the medicine that they needed while Y/N looked around at her surroundings.
"Of course it has to be a shot.." Clem whispered, which made her a little nervous, since she knows that it'll definitely cause a lot of noise from the pain. Clem found the medicine and put it into the shot and turned back towards her, then grabbed Y/N's arm gently. Y/N started coughing a bit but tried to make the sounds quieter as to not draw attention to them. Clem immediately felt guilty for not being able to get the medicine she needed sooner.
Clementine saw that Y/N was looking towards something which made her look over to what she was seeing quickly. They saw that Dr. Lingard had woken up and was looking at them, disappointed. "That medicine..that's the last of it. It'll be wasted on Y/N..just put it back." He said, his words sounding weird.
"I'm saving Y/N! This is our only chance.." Clem whispered back to him, not really wanting to speak to him in the first place.
"Nothing can save your girl now. It won't work." He responded, although Clem wasn't changing her mind. "I have to try!" Clem told him, upset that he wouldn't try to save Y/N if he could. Clem looked away from him as she put her attention back on Y/N. Clem grabbed her arm again and put the shot near it.
"Alright Y/N..I need you to be brave for me okay? See? It's not so bad.." Clem told her as she pushed the needle into her arm and injected her, trying to get it over with quickly. She flinched when she immediately started crying loudly from the pain. She finished injecting her and picked her up.
"What the hell is going on here?" She heard David say which made her quickly turn around to his upset voice. Before David spoke anymore about Clem's stealing, he looked over at Dr. Lingard and got even more angry at his state.
"Your high again? Pull yourself together before the others see you! Deal with the damn kid." He yelled at him as Dr. Lingard stood up from where he was laying down. David then turned to Clementine to yell at her. By that time Y/N has calmed down a bit.
"What the hell were you thinking?! You were told those drugs couldn't help her! How could you be so stupid?!" He yelled as Clementine got upset by his words as well. "Did you think I'd just give up on her?! Y/N is everything to me David. I'd do anything to keep her alive. You stopped trying to help." She responded.
"We stopped because she was a lost cause! What you just did? That'll cost someones life down the road. Someone in this camp! Someone who contributes to our survival!" David yelled back when Dr. Lingard spoke up. "C'mon David..she was just trying to help her kid." He said, still out of it. "We helped enough! We should've left her out in the woods a week ago!" David angrily responded to him.
"But look! It's helping!" Clem said and put her hand on Y/N's back, showing them that she's calmed down and hasn't coughed yet. "It doesn't work that way, Clem. You bought her a peaceful moment. Nothing more." Dr. Lingard told her, getting Clementine more upset for Y/N.
"Then it was worth it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat." Clem told the two, holding onto Y/N tighter, but not to where it'd be painful at all. "Yeah. Without a damn thought for anyone else." David replied in a still angry but calmer tone.
"We opened our arms to you. Made you one of us. This is how you repay us?! By stealing?! By putting yourself before the group?!" David yelled even louder, taking a step towards them causing Clem to take a step back, from her being cautious and untrusting, while Y/N hid her face into Clementine's shoulder because of the yelling. "You're done here. You broke our rules. Violated our trust. You have no place in the New Frontier. You've made that pretty damn obvious." David told her with a stern voice.
"I made the right call. One you refused to make!" Clementine yelled back at him, with David quickly responding after. "Well I'm making one now. Get your shit and get out!"
"Maybe we should give them another chance.." Dr. Lingard said with slurred words. "Don't fight me on this. You know what Joan would say if she were here. I'm sorry Clem. You brought this on yourself." David responded. Clementine glared at him, and double checked to make sure she was holding onto Y/N securely. "Come on Y/N. We don't need this place anyway." Clementine said and turned around, only to see more New Frontier members surrounding her.
"Uh-Uh. She stays. You can't take her with you." David said much to Clem's shock. His words made Clementine way more upset than she was before. The New Frontier members stepped towards Clem, though she couldn't step back without getting closer to another. "Get out of my fucking way. Right now!" She yelled and held onto Y/N tighter.
"Clem, shes in no condition to travel." Dr. Lingard told her.
"Just let her go Clem..she'll only drag you down out there." Ava told her, making Clementine shake her head quickly, not agreeing with their suggestions at all. The other New Frontier members started closing in on her, all of their arms reaching out for Y/N. Clem tried backing away but only walked into other people. Clementine tried her best to keep Y/N in her arms but failed due to the amount of people taking her away. Sadly Y/N was successfully taken out of Clementine's arms.
"Nooo!!" Due to the force of her trying to hold onto Y/N, she felt back and almost lost her footing but stayed standing. "You monsters!" She yelled angrily and sadly. Clementine pulled up her sleeve, showing the proof that she was apart of the New Frontier. "What about this? What was it all for?! Don't forget, I'm one of you!" She yelled at them, trying to get them to hopefully change their minds. "Not anymore." David told her, making Clem's face turn to the realization that she won't have her only reason to keep going anymore.
"Let her say goodbye. We owe her that much at least." Ava said and looked toward David, wanting him to give her that much.
"Fine. You heard her." David said and turned his head to Dr. Lingard, who was holding Y/N. "Say what you need to say, then go. Don't make me regret this." David told her, stepping back a bit to give her room. Clementine walked up to Y/N, contemplating wether or not to spit in David's face, but decided against it so she could say goodbye properly.
Clementine then put her hand on Y/N's face, "I love you Y/N.." She then placed a kiss on her forehead. "I love you.."
"Come on Clem." David said, while Clementine looked at Y/N for a while, already missing her. Clem could see by Y/N's face that she doesn't want to leave Clem as much as she doesn't want to leave Y/N, since she kept reaching out for her. She then felt David's hand on her shoulder, signaling that it's time.
She turned away from her sadly and started walking away, wiping her tears off of her face.
"Clem..." Y/N called out while reaching for her, making Clementine look back towards her, feeling even more guilty.
