Chapter 5

Chapter 5: What's going on?

The only two weeks besides summer holiday is Christmas for the teens to return home to their families. Of course, Yugi and Ryou hug each other deeply because they need to miss each other, but they see each other in two weeks again so that's what they hold on to.

When they see a black car driving up the driveway, the gang sees the Kitten slow down and tensing up. But as soon as the door opens, he recovers and runs towards that car, jumps in an older man's arms, and when they release the hug, they get back in the car and drive off.

The weeks pas by quickly and it's time for the teens to return, the Neko teens realise quickly that Yugi isn't the same he was when he left, the kitten is to himself and when Ryou runs towards him and wants to hug him, the kitten dugs away and turns his back to them clearly not willing to talk.

That night the kitten isn't in his bed, also he isn't in the house, this concerns the crystal white haired cat very much and he alarms Atem right away. A search starts and sadly it's Vivian who finds him and drags him home roughly. Atem tries to find out what is wrong, but the kitten refuses to talk. Eventually he tells Ryou to tug the kitten into bed and to stay with him, while he goes to inform his father that they found him.

A knock sounds on the door and he hears "Enter" calling out, walking inside he takes place at the seat in front of the desk.

"We found him father." The Alpha cat says.

"Where was he?" King asks relieved to hear the youngest of the group is found.

"According to Vivian on the secluded spot, could you reach his grandfather?"

"Yes, I asked him about Yugi's strange behaviour, it's shockingly, but Yugi needs to figure this out on himself, and you need to make sure he will not take off like he did last night."

"With how he was brought back, I don't think he will not repeat an action such as this one, and if he does, he will get the consequences in order of the rules set out." The Alpha cat states. "But how do we return him to his free-spirited self again?"

"With lots of patients." His mother's voice suddenly says behind him. "King, with your permission, I wish to move into their apartment for a little while and make sure Yugi grows back to a strong cat again."

"Denied, according to his grandfather Yugi never allows women around him when he is in this mood. And with Vivian's nature, the boy surely will not allow anybody resembling a female around him. let him come to you by himself." King says sternly towards his wife and then turns to his son. "How did Vivian bring him back?"

"She was dragging him by his tail, and not in a gentle way, Ryou needed to stich and band aid a few deep bite-marks. I have given her dirt duty when she is on campus, of course angered as to why I did not punish him also I told her the bitemarks he received were punishment enough for the kitten."

"Damn! Well, I keep in touch with his grandfather, I need to call him he is found." The king says waving his son and wife off. The phone rings however and stops the two in their tracks, something tells them it's nothing good. "Hello?... What!... where are they! ... keep everyone in the Hikari home, keep those involved apart from each other, he is on his way!"

Atem's father places the phone on the hook. "RA DAMN CAN'T HE GET ANY REST!" He shouts while slamming his fists on the table. Then he forces to calm himself down.

"That was Akeifa, apparently there was a fight in the Hikari home, involving Malik, Vivian and Yugi, the latter ran away again and Marik who was driving his bike saw him too late, he and Yugi are on their way to the hospital, Marik called Akeifa and from there the story gets a bit hazy, eventually Akeifa called me and is on his way to the Hikari-home. Where was Marik?"
