Chapter 2 - Kyotani

Makki POV:

I just exited the door as Oikawa ran up to me.

"Makki! Good morning!"
He was wearing his training suit already but he looked so hyper.
How can someone be in such a good mood in the morning?! Especially on a saturday!
That is also the same what I asked him then:

"How can you have this much energie this early...?" I probably looked like walking death. I just couldn't sleep aside for like 2 hours. My mind had swirled around this man right in front of me and I remembered his kiss on the cheek. Like jvcwicbiweuieugieuf!? How can he be straight after last night?! And how did he just flirt with me right on the spot but didn't overdo it at all so that I was comfortable but also flustered?!

I stepped up to him and greeted the sunshine.
"Morning, Kawa. You really kept your promise." I smiled.

"Of course I did! Promises from this man are not meant to be broken!" He pointed at his chest and grinned although I noticed a faint blush on his cheeks and ears.
Did my nickname for him make him flustered? Cute.

"What, Kawa~? Is that a blush I see?" I smirked because I wanted to see him flustered like he saw me yesterday.
"W-whaaa? Nooooooo- what are you saying-? YOU SAW NOTHING!"
He hid behind his arms and covered his now more flaming face.

I walked up to him and pulled his arms down.
"What? Where did that confidence from last night go?"
I reached for his face and cupped it to which Tooru looked at me a bit wide eyed and still flustered.
Before he could answer, which he looked like he couldn't, I leaned in and kissed his cheek.

When I pulled away and looked at him, Kawa was frozen in place.
I knew I didn't cross the line so I just smirked slightly.

"Come on, captain! Practice starts in 20 minutes." With that I started walking and after a few seconds Kawa followed.

Kunimi POV:

"Good morning, guys!"

I will never understand how Oikawa-san can have so much energy in the morning but it is Oikawa-san so it's normal, I guess.

"Morning, captain." The rest responded similar to that but no one could match his energy.
Not even Yū could due to him not being an early bird or however he calls it.
(remember that's Kindaichi's first name)

"Kawa, you have too much energy in the morning..." Iwaizumi-san went to the captain and ruffled his hair.
"That's the same I said when he picked me up." Makki-san walked up behind them and stood next to Matsukawa-san who joined the 3rd-year-group as well.

Oikawa picked Makki-san up? Maybe he wanted to look for him after yesterday? He disappeared at the end of practice but I don't think that anyone will ask him why-

"Hey, Makki?"
"Hm?"
"Why'd you disappear yesterday without saying anything?"

Or Matsukawa-san would. Now everyone in the gym stopped and listened. Myself included.

"Oh, ehm... I didn't go home."
"What do you mean?" Iwaizumi asked and exchanged a look with Oikawa-san.
"Well, I kinda got locked in... in the supply closet. But Kawa found me."

The supply closet? I turned to my boyfriend.
"Didn't you lock that one yesterday?"
He just nodded a bit in shock.

"I am so sorry, Makki-san! I didn't know you were still in there!" He bowed and Makki-san waved him off.
"No worries, dude." he grinned, "Wasn't your fault, Kindaichi. I just got lucky that I was found before my claustrophobia kicked in."

I didn't know Makki-san had claustrophobia...
"Must've been terrifying..." I mumbled and Yū nodded.
