The Transformation

After the war, all the previous 7th years came back to repeat the year they missed and finish off their schooling at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. With Hogwarts repaired and becoming the new headmistress. You could say I was adjusting to the change very easily. Honestly, I had been doing this job for years without the title. The fact that Albus stayed headmaster for so long after ignoring the work part of the job for as long as he did shock me. But even with the little added workload, I found she did not have time to teach the whole school transfiguration so I hired a new teacher to take my place, but I still taught my favorite class, NEWTs level Advanced Transfiguration. This year, I wanted to make this class extra special because these kids deserved it. The class consisted of the following students

To say it's an interesting group would be an understatement but surprisingly there were not many arguments. The reason for that was that the 8th years all lived in a separate dorm where each was roomed with someone from another house. It took a while for them to calm down and get along but from this, many new friendships and relationships came too. And well I was the headmistress and my students' romantic relationships were none of the business unless it needed to be, the staff loved to gossip, especially about the 8th years and the new relationships blooming. Some of My personal favorites were the ones we never saw coming like the friendship and soon relationship between Hermione Granger and Pansy Parkinson, and the same going on between Ron Weasly and Blaise Zambini. There was also something going on with Theodore Nott and Nevil Longbottom which was an interesting one but there was one that not only no one saw coming but no one thought was possible and that was Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter falling in love. Now, to be honest, this relationship was definitely a plan of mine when I put the two together as roommates but I believed that they would only become at least friends but I was wrong, they became closer and closer, both denying their feelings for the other in fear of rejection and losing their friendship until one day, everything changed. It was the last class before the winter holiday and as an exam, I taught the class how to become animagus and today was the day they were to transform for the first time. There was a ministry official there to register them after their transition. She had full faith that all her students were gonna be able to complete their transition, and she was right. They circled up in reverse alphabetical order and each person waited for the lightning strike then said "Amato Animo Animato Animagus" and drank their potion. The first person to go was Blaise Zambini and he turned into a raven. Next was the two Weasley siblings, first was Ron who turned into a dog, specifically a jack russell, well his sister turned into a horse, and next went Dean Thomas who was a bear of some sort. Then it was Harry's turn and everyone was excited to see what the chosen ones' animagus would be. When the next lightning struck, Harry nervously said "Amato Animo Animato Animagus" and drank his potion, and turned. It was silent as everyone looked down at the white ferret standing where Harry just was. Even the ferret looked shocked, but no one was as shocked as Draco Malfoy. He knew that an animagus could be based on something important in your life and was a Draco that was important to Harry for his animagus to be the same animal as Draco's Patronus, one that he and Harry discovered a week ago after months of trying to teach Draco. I interrupted the silence as the next lightning was about to strike. Everyone silenced and Pansy Parkinson turned into a little pug. The whole room was trying to hold in their laughs, not wanting to be rude or hurt pansy, but when she transformed back, she broke out into laughter and the rest of the class followed her. After the laughter died down, Theo went next, turning into bowtruckle. Then came Draco Malfoy. He and the rest of us assumed we knew what he would be. It was either gonna be a snake, dragon, ferret, or peacock. Personally, my bet was on the dragon but a lot of the class thought ferret, which would have been cute because of Harrys, but boy were we all wrong because when the lightning strikes, Draco Malfoy said "Amato Animo Animato Animagus" and drank his potion turns into nothing other than a stag.

After that class, Draco and Harry admitted their feelings for each other, and they were engaged the Christmas after, and now here we are at their beautiful wedding where it is an honor to be officiating, so now with the power and magic invested in me by the ministry of magic, I now pronounce you husband and husband, you may kiss the groom.
