Chapter I | "Pneumococcus Part 1"

"Inside the human body, roughly 37.2 trillion cells are working hard everyday, 24 hours and 365 days..."

"Sorry for the wait! Here's todays oxygen delivery!" A red haired erythrocyte exclaimed, handing him his box of oxygen.

Red Blood Cell

Their red color is due to the large amounts of hemoglobin. They carry oxygen and carbon dioxide uding blood circulation.

"Please sign here!" The erythrocyte, AE-3803, instructed.

"Thank you for your hardwork!" The tissue cell replied, smiling at the erythrocyte.

"I hope to serve you again!" She said, before turning around, about to continue her circulation.

And then suddenly, the ground in front of her began to crack.

Everyone panicked, screaming and running away in fear.

"Huh? What is this?" AE asked.

"They're coming!"

"Run!"

Then the vascular endothelial cells were destroyed, signaling an upcoming bacterial invasion.

Due to impact, AE-3803 fell to the ground.

She became frozen in fear and shock when a figure started emerging from the debris.

It was a group of nasty purple germs.

"Seems like a pretty damn comfortable place!" One of the germs exclaimed.

"Not too hot, not too cold.."

"And looks like there's tons of food.."

The one standing in the center smiled haughtily, his eyes looked around in interest.

"It's settled! From now on, this will be our land!"

It grinned, showing off it's sharp claws. The cells turned to panic immediately trying to save themselves from them.

"But first.. Let's get these annoying residents out of the way!"

All ran aimlessly trying to find places to hide some rushing to random directions.

The erythrocytes did not want to be hemolysed early and were panicking, hurrying to save themselves.

AE-3803, however, was completely frozen in fear, not able to move. One of the germs were about to hemolyse her yet she could only face reality and embrace her untimely doom.

Then suddenly..

A white clad soldier appeared out of nowhere and took a hold of the germ's arm.

"Die, germ!" He shouted, slicing through it's neck.

Other white clad soldiers appeared from the vents and annihilated the germs. Each one looking as gruesome and motivated as ever.

Blood splattered everywhere, tainting the once clean ground.

The white clad soldier sheathed his knife back into his holster before taking out a communicator.

"This is White Blood Cell Neutrophil Division, U-1146. The invading germs have been annihilated.." He spoke.

White Blood Cell (Neutrophil)

Their main job is to eliminate foreign substances from outside, such as bacteria and viruses. Neutrophils comprise over the half of the White Blood Cells in the blood.
