AE-3803 looked at them in confusion.

"What do you-I mean we're not untangled at all!" The erythrocyte shouted as the neutrophil duo dragged her along with them.

"Pneumonia is not the only disease that's caused by pneumococci.. There's something called "pneumoccocal bacteremia".." U-1146 explained.

"The Pneumococci attack each organ through the blood vessels, seizing control of the meninges enveloping the brain, ultimately destroying this world!"

"They've been known to invade an entire body in a mere 24 hours.." U-1048 adds, looking forward in the distance.

AE-3803's face paled in fear.

"Th-There's such a disease like that?!" She asked in surprise.

U-1146 nodded, turning to her.

"Yeah. Since this body's immune system has been compromised.." He replied.

"Normally it can withstand something like this, but.."

U-1048's face darkened as nostalgia loomed over her.

'My colleagues worked hard for this world until the very end and fell in battle....' U-1048 thought, before shaking her head, shaking off the unnecessary thoughts.

U-1146 took his communicator out and started to speak to his colleague.

"This is U-1146. Requesting backup in pursuing the invading germ.." He requested.

"We're short-handed too! Try to get by on your own!" The neutrophil yelled, before hanging up.

U-1146 and U-1048 sweatdropped, U-1048 becoming a bit gloomy because of it. Was this how their mentors taught them?

Their receptors suddenly started beeping making them jolt in surprise, turning at every direction possible.

"My receptor's responding!" U-1146 exclaimed, preparing himself for combat.

"He must be near!" U-1048 shouted, positioning her hand close to her sword.

U-1048 frantically looked around, eyes dilating immensely.

'Couldn't they have come up with a better design?' AE-3803 thought, sweatdropping.

U-1146 turned to AE-3803.

"Hey, did you hear that guy say anything? Like where he was headed?" He asked the red haired erythrocyte.

"And what was he doing inside the storage closet?" U-1048 added, looking at her with a serious expression.

AE-3803 blinked before recalling what the germ was looking at earlier.

As if saying 'Eureka!', the erythrocyte's face lit up.

"Aha!" She uttered outloud.

The two immune cells looked at her.

"He was looking at a map! He seemed to be looking for the lungs!" She, exclaimed.

U-1146 and U-1048 looked at each other before sweatdropping at the red blood cell.

"So he was lost, too?" U-1146 asked.

AE sweatdropped.

"Yes, probably.." AE-3803 replied.

U-1048 raised an eyebrow.
