Takes place the night and next day of, "As long as Will's there."

I heard rustling coming from Nico's room. A relentless shifting in hopes of a peaceful sleep. I could not, infact, fall asleep. I grabbed my blanket and pillow and walked over to Nico's room, launching myself onto his bed. And propping my pillow against the headboard. Nico swatted my head. "whAT?" I cried.

"I just felt like it."

"Hmph." I frowned. I snuggled into my blanket and ran a hand through my hair. I felt myself trembling. My brain exploding, from my usual over-thinking, which was why I couldn't sleep in the first place.

"What's wrong?"

"I- I don't know... I mean, yeah sure, I really want to go to high school... but what if i'm not... Good enough? I have already failed to save countless lives. I could have saved them, Nico! I- I just- what if I fail miserably at this too? What if I'm a terrible doctor?" I broke down into sobs. Nico looked at me with furious eyes.

"WILLIAM ANDREW SOLACE. DON'T YOU EVER. EVEN TRY TO THINK. YOU AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH. Understand? You are amazing. I cannot even express how amazing. And... I know you feel terrible that you couldn't save those people but it... it wasn't your fault. You tried your best and that's all that matters. Honestly? We have all been through so much. High school cannot possibly be any worse can it? You are already the best doctor ever. Ok? Plus. I'm here. If you ever need me." His voice cracked. Without any hesitation, he turned towards me and gave me a big hug and he stayed there. It was dark and I couldn't see his face but I felt his tears streaming, wetting my shirt. I was stunned but grateful.

Clearing my throat, I tried to speak, "Than-"

"Shh.." I was cut off by Nico. I put an arm around him and both of us fell asleep.

I woke up in Nico's bed but he wasn't there. Strange. I struggled to get out of the bed and ended up falling onto the floor, wrapped in blankets. "Oof."

When I looked up, I saw Nico leaning on the door frame, a smirk on his face. "You're finally up." He noticed.

"Yeah." I sheepishly rubbed the back of my head. It was then that I noticed Nico was wearing an apron. I rearranged myself on the floor so that my head was resting on my hand and my foot was propped up as I looked at Nico.

"What's cooking?" I tried for a teasing look. Then fell onto the floor laughing again at the look on Nico's face.

"That's big talk for someone who isn't even wearing pants." He finally shot back, smugly. I realized alas, I was just wearing my boxers. I grabbed my pants from my room and threw them on. There was a delicious smell wafting through the house. I saw Nico concocting something in the kitchen.
"The hell are you making?"

"Er... pancakes?"

"Oh really?"

"Yes, William." He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Bianca and I made the recipe. Feel free to give them I try since I don't see you making anything to eat any time soon, 'Mr-I-put-milk-before-cereal'"

I groaned. Then I snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around him, placing my head in the nook of his neck.

"Go away."

"No. I don't think I will."

He continued doing whatever he was doing and I just stood and watched. In a few minutes he had a plate full of pancakes. "Hey- They're brown."

"Yeah. They're chocolate pancakes." He grinned.

"Yay!" I cried sarcastically. But he knew I loved chocolate. Setting them down on the table, we started eating. As soon as I took the first bite, I immediately fell in love. "How-"

"Mhm." he said, his mouth stuffed with pancakes. I sighed contentedly. "School starts tomorrow." He said.

"Oh... yeah..." I pouted. "I hate mondays."

"It's gonna be great. I promise."

"Hello, Mr. encouraging."

"Will-" He facepalmed. "'I hate mondays'" He said mimicking me. I squinted my eyes then flopped onto his shoulder. "Te amo." I tapped his nose then repeated what he had just said,

"Te amo :)"

SHort but I think it's cute :))))
