Bellamy's POV:
It seems like years have passed since Clarke left but it's only been a matter of days. I've stayed guarding the gates everyday all day in hopes that she would soon return. As the sun started to rise I was leaning against a post, struggling to keep my eyes open I haven't slept in days. Then I felt someone rest a hand on my shoulder when I turned I found Octavia standing beside me. "Bell, you need to face the fact that she's not coming back anytime soon. You need to sleep."
"No. I'm not leaving Guard. I don't need sleep." There were ways that I could've finished that sentence like 'I don't need sleep I need Clarke' or 'I don't need sleep I need to be here when she returns' but chose it was best not to.
"Come on Bell, just sleep you need it. I promise if Clarke comes back I'll wake you up." She reassured me.
I sighed "Fine." And then I headed towards my tent on the other side of camp, where the remaining 100 had all placed their tents in rows of 5. In my row was Clarke, Octavia, Jasper and Monty.
I slipped into my tent pulling my shirt over my head and flopping onto the makeshift bed. I slept for what felt like days. When I woke I heard loud voices outside my tent. I got dressed and went outside to see what was going on. When I looked around everyone was gathered in the middle of camp. I ran over towards them. "Oh look the guest of honour decided to show up for the party." Raven laughed. Was she drunk? I looked at her puzzled. Guest of honour? What the hell was she talking about?
"What do you mean?" I asked."This." Octavia gestured at all the people while leaning on me, I could smell the alcohol in her breath "Is your very own Bellamy Blake appreciation party."
"My what?" I asked.
"Oh for god sakes Bellamy! This is a thank you party without you we would have never survived Mount Weather." Jasper yelled.
"Tell that to Clarke" I muttered"Hmm, did you say something?" Octavia asked clearly not interested in what I said anyways. I shook my head and went and sat at one of the tables resting my head in my palms.
This isn't right, this party should be for Clarke she was the one who never gave up and now blames herself for what she had to do to save us all. I lightly slid my fingers across my right cheek where Clarke placed her goodbye kiss. I didn't deserve this party if anyone did it was Clarke.
//Time Lapse//
I sat at the table as I watched everyone dance around but hadn't noticed that Abby sat down across from me. She still looked weak but looked way better than before. She slid a cup across the table "Drink. It'll make you feel better." I lifted the cup to my lips and recognized the bitter taste of Monty's moonshine. She started to talk again. "You know I miss her too, I never even got a chance to thank her or say goodbye, but it will get better. I learned that from my husbands de-"
I interrupted her as anger filled my voice "Clarke is not dead! DONT MAKE IT SOUND LIKE SHE IS!! Just because you're the Chancellor doesn't mean that you just have to forget it even happened like they did back on the Ark. Because I can tell you one thing, down here it's NOTHING like the Ark." I felt Miller pull me off the chair and walk me away.
"Bellamy you need to calm down. Go have fun and forget about it for now, you can go back to being whiny old Bellamy tomorrow." He tapped me on the back. He was right so I decided I'd go and join the crowd. Girls piled all over me trying to get me to take them back to their tents 'for some fun.' But I pushed them off.
Everyone was pushing me to the middle of the crowd and then formed a big circle around me. They started chanting my name. And one-by-one they thanked me, when I looked beyond the people I saw the front gates opening. I shoved my way out of the circle to see why. When I saw the blonde girl standing at the gates that's when my heart stopped. Thoughts rushed through my head like 'It can't be her.' And 'There's no way it's her your just imaging it.' But it was real it really was Clarke.
I ran towards her the same way she did when she found out that I was alive. But instead of embracing her into a hug the way she did with me. I cupped her cheeks forcing her lips onto mine, and to my surprised she kissed me back. I pulled away, but instead of letting her go I squeezed her tightly into a hug. "Don't you ever leave me again." I whispered.
