Chapter Sixteen: Spring Is Here Again/It's Happened Again!/Bambi, A Proud Father

After a long hard winter, the season of Spring arrived once again.
New grass and trees were growing where the fire had been.
The forest was beautiful once again.
One fine morning, Friend Owl was sleeping in his tree just like he always did as any nocturnal animal would do.
As he snored, the wise old old wasn't aware of the big news that was yet to come.
Soon, a rabbit family with new baby bunnies came hopping along.
They all began to thump their feet against a hollow log.
"Wake up! Wake up Friend Owl"!
Thumper called out.
"Wake up Friend Owl"!
His children repeated.
"Ohh, what now"?
Friend Owl grumbled.
All the animals and were birds were heading towards someplace.
"Hey! What's going on here"?
He asked Flower.
"It's happened"!
Flower excitedly.
"Happened"?
The owl questioned.
"Yes, in the thicket. Hurry up Bambi".
Flower called out the baby skunk running towards him. 
"Yes Papa! I'm coming"!
Then, when everyone finally made it to the thicket, they were met with a wonderful sight.
Faline had given birth to twin fawns.

"Ohhh..."
"Well, look".
The baby fawns opened their eyes for the first time. 
"Look! Two of them".

The animals giggled as one of them attempted to get up.
"I thought I'd never see a more good-looking pair of fawns. Prince Bambi oughta be mighty proud".
Friend Owl said with a chuckle.
And he was indeed.
Standing on the cliff was their proud father.
