When break started, Kiara and I met at our usual meet spot, over by the baseball diamond. Kiara always said that way she would get to stare at baseball boys with me.
There was one player that caught my eye, like he seemed familiar but I couldn't tell who it was.
I innocently turned to Kiara and whispered, "Number 31 is pretty cute!" Kiara turned to me in shock.
Then Kiara half yelled half whispered, "DUDE THAT'S MATTHEW CAMERON!" I slapped my hand over her mouth.
"Be quiet!" I exclaimed. Then I wondered, is that actually him? He looked so different without his baseball gear on.

Kiara practically dragged me to her house. "Kiara, put me down," I groaned.
"Nuh uh," she said, loving every moment of this.
"Ugh," I exclaimed just before wriggling out of her hold and trying to sprint away.
Kiara grabbed my arm, "What do you think your doing?" She smirked.
Oh my gosh, why did Kiara have to be like this? As we walked into her marble floored entrance, I sighed, "Is this about Matthew?" But I already knew the answer.
Kiara just grinned like she knew, but still said, "Yes."
Once we were in her room, she immediately said "Do you still like Matthew?"
I didn't know how to respond to that, "U-uh I don't know?" I stuttered.
"Yeah that's what I thought," Kiara exclaimed with an obvious smirk.
"No, I actually don't know if I like him or not," I exclaimed loudly.
Kiara looked suspicious of me, "Ok, Ok you don't know yet, but remember grade 6?"
"Ya," I said.

Grade 6 Matthew
It was the first day of school and I had woken up at 7:30 AM. Bruh. I didn't even need that much time to get ready. So I set an alarm for 8:30 AM.
Once I woke up, I threw on some clothes and deodorant.
The weather this morning was perfect. The sun was shining, the sky was nothing but blue and It was 25 degrees(Celsius), not to warm but not to cold.
"Matthew! Get your butt down here were gonna be late!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs.
"Coming!" I yelled as I sprinted down the stairs.
I smiled as soon as I saw my mom, " Here's a muffin!" She seemed very happy. Its a Blueberry lemon muffin, my favorite.
Sean comes down the stairs with messy hair, "Sean! You're gonna be late!" Mom says half joking half not.

Sean and I walk out the door together and he smiles at me, "Have fun in grade 6 Matthew."
I smile as if to say the same, then as i'm walking up to the school gate, I see Anna. Whoa, she changed a lot over summer. I walk over to Anna and ask, "How was summer?" I smile as I see her turn around to face me.
"Oh! Hey Matthew, My summer was great how was yours?" Anna says as I see her cheeks go red.
"Great! What teacher do you have?" I exclaim, hoping shes in my class.
"Ms. Jackson," She says quietly. I realize that I'm not even paying attention anymore i'm just staring at her. I snap out of it thankfully.
"O-Oh I think I have her too!" I say trying not to sound too excited.
Anna's whole face goes red as she smiles. Her smile is just so pretty I can't keep looking at her or I'll go red myself. " Ok cool! I will see you in class!" I stutter, not looking at her.
"Oh ok," I can see the disappointment in her face.

Present Anna
"Wait, Anna he just left after telling you his teacher?" Kiara says looking like she wanted to tell Matthew all of this.
"Yeah hes so rude" I exclaim jokingly.
I feel very light, like a cloud after it rains. Suddenly, I didn't mind that I was dragged here.
