Izuku woke up to a rapid pounding on his door.

"Today's the day, Nerd, get your ass up!" Katsumi shouted, knocking away any remaining sleepiness from his mind. He reached into his pajama pants pockets and extracted a small pocket watch and opened it, smiling at the countdown. In approximately just eight hours, his Quirk would return to him.

It had been nine long years of anticipation, the sigil on the front of the pocket watch slowly but surely filled with soft, green light bit by bit, day by day. This last week passed by especially slowly due to the closeness of the sigil's completion. Today, though, was the day and Izuku was barely able to actually sleep the night prior as he watched the timer tick down more and more.

"You comin' or what nerd?!" Katsumi shouted again, jolting Izuku from his reverie. Quickly he ran about his room, readying himself for another day of Junior High. By the time he was finished, Katsumi's patience had run so thin that she elected to just barge in. "Are you done yet?!"

"Yup!" Izuku replied cheerfully, having only just finished buttoning up his uniform jacket.

"Alright, well, let's get goin'." Katsumi said, "Sooner we get to school, the sooner it's done, and the closer we are to you getting your quirk back."

"You make it sound like school's not as important as my quirk reactivating." Izuku joked. Katsumi had, after recovering from their first experience with his quirk, been very excited at the prospect of more dungeons. "It's almost as if you're more excited for my quirk than I am!"

"Sh-shut up! Don't act like you aren't excited too!" She was shouting, but her words had no heat. Izuku had to admit, though, he was definitely excited to have access to his full quirk again.

The pair ate a fast breakfast while Inko watched in amusement as the pair rused off, running as fast as they could to the school. They got there early, and Katsumi was immediately frustrated when she saw a familiar pair of white bunny ears outside the door to the school.

Rumi Usagiyama was her name and she was the bane of Katsumi's existence. They didn't like each other because it was really difficult to determine between the two of them who was the 'top dog' of the school. Katsumi was powerful, intelligent, and popular, and had Izuku's natural charisma boosting her even more, but Rumi had her beat in physical ability, as well as natural charisma. They were always competing with each other, trading insults and most importantly, fighting over Izuku.

"Hey Izu, sorry to tell you, but there's a nerd tax." The bunny girl said, completely ignoring Katsumi. Katsumi hated that, and she hated the obvious flirting that she always did with Izuku.

The reason behind her behavior was the fact that Rumi had originally noticed Izuku as a way to mess with Katsumi. She knew that the charismatic and intelligent boy was important to Katsumi, and anyone with eyes could see she liked him, so how sweet would it be if she got him to fall madly in love with her? The issue was when she fell prey to his charisma herself. Any time he paid attention to her, she felt uncommonly giddy and when she made physical contact with him it filled her with an inexplicable warm, fuzzy feeling!

"W-What? What do you mean?" Izuku asked, blushing slightly at the girl. She had been wearing her gym clothes, the sub-par faculty at Aldera cared very little about one of their special and promising students wearing a uniform, and Izuku had a bit of a weakness for it.

Rumi wore a long, white sports bra that covered most of her midriff, it left her toned arms exposed, as well as just a hint of the toned copper flesh that made up her abs peaking from under the hem. She was also wearing mid-thigh shorts with a hole cut in them that let her white tail poke through.

"Sorry about this, but all cute nerdy boys who come through here have to pet my ears." She said, totally shameless and very clearly flirting. With a sultry smirk, she added, "The punishment for tax evasion is I wait until I'm all sweaty from gym class and pin you to the ground and nibble on your neck, so I suggest you pay up, unless tax evasion seems like a better option."
