𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝐻𝐸𝐿𝐿𝐹𝐼𝑅𝐸 𝐶𝐿𝑈𝐵☆★ You lean on Jane's desk absolutely loving the project that she'd put together for your late father, Jim Hopper. "You're gonna ace this. Like seriously, this is amazing" you pick up a figure, scrutinizing the detail. She blushes and shrugs, failing to hide the conceited grin on her face.
"Awe come on. If she doesn't give you an A, I'll explode" you tease. "You say that as a joke, even after you no longer go to therapy?" she questions, taking the figure from your fingers. Guilty, you hunch your shoulders "they can't understand our trauma, it's like reading to a toddler" the two share a light laugh.
Living with Joyce and Will was more fun than you could've imagined. Joyce was an especially exceptional woman who did anything in her power to protect the ones that she loved, and you admired her for it. Regardless of nobody believing her claims about will in the beginning, she kept going.
Will's mother was a fuckin' G.
Will had finally indulged in his skill in art. It had taken him some pushing from you and Joyce but it was definitely worth seeing him come up with cryptic yet, emotional pieces. He's weird when Jane asked to see what he was creating but you didn't think much of it. Because a wise man once said
"It's just puberty making a scene"
Jonathan has been getting high out of his mind during the gut-wrenching wait for his acceptance letter. Joyce was somehow completely oblivious to the smell that he'd carry around with him 24/7. Luckily, you could threaten to snitch and get anything you want. Jonathan was a pretty cool big brother.
You snap out of your daze at the sound of Argyle honking the horn of his speedy pizza van. "Let's go, Jane gotta go get that A+ asap!" you sang, patting her shoulder and leaving the room soon after. She's right behind you, laughing at her clumsiness and grabbing your hand. She'd never been this happy before and the sight was just heartfilling.
As for you, well, things could be better. Though Mike would stay persistent in sending you love letters that always finished off with "Love, Mike" it just wasn't enough. He was so far away and... you couldn't feel the love within those letters. Now and then you'd have a "burst". What's that?
Well your powers or solely based on emotion, only being able to be triggered when you're thinking of something or someone who upsets you. You were u lucky in the range of superhuman technology. It was unintentional but, you could be a real stick in the mud at times.
But, Mike was going to be here soon, and that was enough for now. You and Jane had finally adapted to a normal lifestyle and were happier than ever with an actual family.

You nod your head to "Hopelessly devoted to you" on the way to class, hands empty because you could care less about this specific assignment. Jane was already doing the project on the one man you'd consider a hero and it was enough. She was speaking for both of you with it.
The sight of Jane being more than confident draws a little smirk on your face. "Wanna skip with me for hour five?" she doesn't think twice before denying your request, making you whine. You didn't bother asking Will. He's a goodie two shoes.
Jane enthusiastically waves at all the mean people and it never fails to piss you off when they give her such a dirty look. Your pupils dilate as you watch the girls pass by, making them trip and fall on their faces. Will is winded and looks to you "Did you do that?" you merely shake your head and smile. "Their shoes were untied no?"
