'Well I dance real fast, so you gotta dance real fast and my friends are all passed out in the back of my friends van!'

The crowd at the junior party danced and sang in unison as Evan and his band performed the song. There was recently a battle of the bands and Evan's band, The Nametakers, won.

Not only were they celebrating their victory, but they also performed for a certain popular girl's birthday party. Evan wasn't too fond of the popular girl, Hailey. However he had to put up with her, because she wouldn't go away.

In fact, Hailey was ridiculously pushy, to the point Evan had to stay behind from band practice some days because Hailey was soo obsessed with him.

However, he wanted something new other than being the popular's bodyguard. Therefore, he had fallen for someone completely different. In fact, a different gender.

Evan was confused, maybe it's just a phase? But whenever the boy got close he felt something like a rush of electric through his body.

At this point, they had finished their performance, the other guys in the band moving away the amps so people could stand there and converse with each other. Meanwhile, Evan moved away from the crowd and found THE guy in a corner.

George was a quiet kid. He never really spoke, but he spoke to Evan. It was obvious from the start that Evan liked him, because George was incredibly intellectual, getting A+ no matter the subject.

He found it hard to socialise with others though. No one shared his oblivious interests, or seemed to read books. He seems to notice that Evan is approaching, therefore glancing up from the book he was reading.

'Hey George, what are you reading?'
'Some astrology book that I found in the library.'
'Ooh, astrology is actually intresting, I don't have time to get into it though...'

They talked about the topic for a few minutes, before things started to escalate between the two.
