Aivan awkwardly patted me on my back and was sort of laughing as I drank my water to help clear my throat after choking on my orange.
I put my water down as Aivan stopped patting me.
"Ok so you guys wanna break out? I guess I get that but so many things could go wrong and you guys could get into even more trouble if you get Caught and.."
"Juna stop." Tiven said as he put his hand up. "It's understandable if you don't want to go with us, you haven't even been here that long plus you don't have to do the work we have to do. But I'm sure you'd rather be home and I could get the money and have you on a bus or whatever back home in no time."
I thought about the trouble I would be in if I decided to do this and than I thought about how I was never suppose to be here in the first place.
"Fine. I'm in." I said smirking.
"Great." Tiven said smiling. "We've been mapping out a plan for a while and it actually doesn't seem that hard to leave this place like we first thought it was... the real problem lies in once we actually get out. It's a long walking distance to the next town that has a phone and there's wild animals out there and probably some crazy homeless people too. But it'll be fine."
I finished up the rest of my salad and threw away my tray. I had multiple questions ruining through my mind but the most important one was "Will Eri be coming with us? Also do you know sawyer Daily? We should probably let him come too."
Aivan laughed at this. "Eri and sawyer are brothers. But they don't really get along... like at all. So.. probably not cause that would be just a headache for us."
So that's why they look so familiar I thought.
Lunch ended and I said goodbye to my friends.. yeah friends.. I feel like I could call them that now. I walked over to the main cabin to see if Mr. Poluci had any paperwork for me to work on because quite honestly, I did not feel like going back to the library again.
"Hi Mr P I'm here to help make your job easier." I said as I skipped in.
Mr Poluci looked up from his computer. "Oh great" he said sarcastically.
He than sighed. He does that a lot. He turned around in his chair and than turned back around handing me some Manilla folders and a yellow highlighter.
"Here go through this, these are the boys papers. I just need you to highlight their names and addresses. Don't be nosy and look at any other info, got that clover?"
I smiled as I saluted him . "Of course Mr. P easy Peasy."
Mr p rolled his eyes and went back to typing on his keyboard.
Before I sat down, I noticed a small radio behind him that I hadn't noticed before. It wasn't on. But I loved to have music playing while I did pretty much anything.
"Mr P WAIT does that radio behind you work?" I asked.
"Ugh yes it does Juna but I don't think it's a good idea to-"
"Pleaseee let me play something." I said trying to do the best puppy eyes I could. They always worked on my dad, never my mom though.
"Fine if it'll get you to actually leave me alone go ahead."
"Thanks bro." I said and walked over to the radio.
Another thing I hadn't noticed before was a small picture frame of mr P and what looked like his wife and daughter who appeared to be 3-4 years old. I thought that was so interesting that Mr P had a family.
The radio turned on with a sort of static noise and 'orange juice' by Melanie Martinez started playing.
I went to sit down and thought to myself how I might miss Mr P a little bit when I'm gone.
