Savesta had two parents in his younger days, Quandale Dingle and Daquavious Bingleton. Quandale Dingle did everything for their family like making food, enrolling Savesta in his school, and organizing everything. Quandale Dingle was calm and wasn't heavily affected by others emotions, he expected others to be like him and handle their emotions easily. Quandale would always say things like "You should be glad that you are living and breathing," instead of trying to comfort people, or give them a solution. He could always handle his emotions, but not other peoples. Daquavious Bingleton was the exact opposite of Quandale Dingle, she was hotheaded and very dramatic. Savesta would often get frustrated with her. However, her emotions are very strong and she was the only person Savesta would ever open up to.

Daquavious became ill, and she had to quit work for a few months. Eventually, she died, and Savesta completely changed. Savesta used to be so energetic and full of life, but then he became sad and empty, like there was a huge chunk of him missing. Quandale Dingle became less patient with Savesta. Whenever Savesta cried, Quandale would bring up his dead parents, and how he had to live in an orphanage for his first five years of his life. It only made Savesta more and more guilty, resulting in him distancing from his father, and becoming a walking blob of negative emotions.

Savesta never got over his mother, but when he was ready to move on, he made many friends. They were nice, yet it didn't feel the same. He could never start a conversation or open up to them like he did with Daquavious. His friends would talk to him, listen to him, and encourage him to speak, but he couldn't bring himself to do so. He wanted to just be left alone, but at the same time he wanted friends, he needed friends.

Kumalala is the adopted son of Queen Cheryl and Kadie (Kadie is known by her infamous title, "That Vegan Teacher"). Kumalala's birth mother died after giving birth to him, and he never knew who his father was, or what he even looked like. However, Kumalala's mom was good friends with the Queen, Cheryl. Cheryl had bought Kumalala's mother a house for her and her parents. When Cheryl heard the news, she became devastated which led to her going into depression. The only person Cheryl had left was her wife Kadie. Kadie convinced Cheryl that adopting Kumalala would've been what his mother wanted.

Cheryl reluctantly agreed to keep Kumalala. Over time however, Kumalala made Cheryl even more depressed, like he was a constant reminder that her friend was gone. Cheryl never spoke to Kumalala, she would stay in her room and cry day and night. When Kumalala asked about Cheryl and why she didn't want to talk to or even see him, Kadie would always reassure him and tell him that since she was the Queen, she was very, very busy (which wasn't really a lie).

Kumalala is smart and capable of anything he sets his mind to, and he is also easy to talk to. However, he didn't make any friends because the people at school viewed him as the spoiled rich kid. The teasing got so bad that Kadie was considering to put him in a private school. However, he insisted that it was much easier to learn in public school for him because being surrounded by other people made him motivated to do well, even if the attention he got was negative.

Savesta had recently moved into Kumalala's city, and he even attended the same school as him. Savesta was a transfer student who had an assigned seat next to Kumalala. "Be careful, he'll sue you if you do something wrong." a kid once whispered to Savesta. Savesta didn't believe them, but he still didn't talk to Kumalala just to be safe.

One fateful day, while Savesta was sitting all alone during lunch time as per usual, Kumalala gained the courage to walk up to him, and he offered a croissant and a bag of Sour Patch Kids. "I know this isn't much, but...you shouldn't sit here with nothing to eat. A-Also, I don't think it's a very good idea to eat cafeteria food on an empty stomach haha."Kumalala chuckled nervously. He was so anxious around Savesta, and he didn't really know why. Savesta didn't scare him or threaten him at all, in fact, Kumalala had a lot of respect for him. For the first time in his life, Kumalala was afraid that someone wouldn't like him. No one at school liked Kumalala, but he didn't really mind. However, he didn't want Savesta to dislike him, he grew more and more attached to him as the school year went on, and debating on when or if he should talk to him ate away at his stomach for weeks. Now that he finally has, he wished that he could go back to looking at him instead of the teacher, his feelings to never be expressed or judge.
