wilbur stared at the ground, he was sitting next to schlatt as him and a bunch of his other friends were doing some random 'you laugh, you lose' challenge in real life, and to be honest wilbur didn't even really want to be there. he only went for schlatt. yet schlatt wasnt really paying any attention to wilbur, so wilbur didnt really see a point in staying. he was planning on leaving in about 5 minutes. he had to wait until tommy came back from the bathroom so he could say goodbye to him, he wasnt gonna say bye to anyone else. only tommy. considering tommy was the only one paying attention to him.

tommy walked out of the bathroom, and the moment wilbur saw him he got up and walked over to tommy. "hey— im gonna head out." wilbur said, still looking down, he felt embarrassed to just be leaving so randomly like that. but what else was he supposed to do? his crush wasn't even paying attention to him. "why? whats up?" tommy asked. all his attention on wilbur now, he always hated when wilbur left early construction wilbur was his bestfriend/go-to. wilbur blinked and huffed. "just dont feel good." he mumbled, tommy nodded and hugged wilbur, not wanting to let him go because he just didnt want wilbur to leave. "alright, text me on discord later though!" tommy said, finally letting go of wilbur. wilbur nodded and walked out.

the next day

wilbur woke up and looked at his phone, surprised yet excited to see 10 missed messages from schlatt, he opened his phone and looked at the messages.

s: hey
s: wilbur?
s: whyd you leave last night
s: you ok???
s: did something come up?
s: if you need someone im here yk??
s: wilbur?
s: are you asleep?
s: no way youre asleep its 2:56 pm
s: aleighty, text me when you wake up.

wilbur smiled, it made him happy to see schlatt actually cared about him, the messages gave him butterflies for some reason, yet honestly he just didnt feel like answering. he huffed and got out of bed and put on a hoodie and black skinny jeans then texted niki, as she really wanted to go shopping with him today.

w: hey when are we going?
n: when are you free?
w: rn
n: alright then! head over now!
w: k omw

at nikis

wilbur knocked on the door and smiled as niki opened it, she threw her arms around wilbur, hugging him rather tight. "i missed you so much!!" niki smiled, wilbur hugged back and finally relaxed. "i missed you too." he chuckled slightly. niki broke the hug and smiled. "so- im thinking the mall?" niki said, wilbur nodded and stretched to wake himself up some more. "sure." he said, blinking a couple of times to process. "lets go!" niki laughed and grabbed wilburs hand, dragging him out of the house.

at the mall

wilbur and niki walked around the mall, looking at random stores, buying a bunch of random stuff. wilbur looked around, he was getting the vibe that someone he knew was there, and he didn't like it. wilbur shook it off and walked faster to catch up to niki.
