A day after the rock lifting training had passed and Ikara was currently getting his hands bandaged by Katherine, becoming bruised and bloody due to putting so much pression under them. "You are really overworking yourself little bear, I believe that Alfan told you this a lot of times yesterday" the motherly woman told him after a small sigh, making the orange eyed male look up at her "but I passed the test like you both said, why can't I keep training "he responded with a small huff, being as stubborn as day one.
"Look I know that you are still very worried about your siblings out there but you can't just keep pushing yourself so much, you won't do them any good if you are in no shape to help them" Katherine told him, "Well.... That may be true but I still cannot just stand without doing anything... I don't wanna stay like this. I don't even want to stay helpless!" he said looking back up with determination shining on his eyes, Katherine looked slightly surprised from this, which made her ponder up for a couple of moments, after that she looked back down at the young boy "well perhaps there is another way that you can keep on the training without exerting yourself so much" she said "there is? And what is it? If there is an option I wanna do it!" Ikara said energetic despite the injuries on his hands.
"Calm down little bear, give me a moment to call one of your siblings" she responded and stood up from the small bed, going outside of the room and walking over to her eldest child, Blake who was merely staring at a window from his room "hey Blake sweetie?" Katherine asked as she walked inside, "yes mom" he said glancing over, "well the little bear is a little stubborn on continuing to train and he might destroy his hands if he keeps this on, since the rest are out hunting for food right now, do you think you could maybe teach him the one of the other ways of training" she said with her hands on her lap, to this Blake raised an eyebrow "the kid is still on with that? how stone headed does he have to be, and besides why should I help him, we don't even know where he comes from or what problems he could bring us" he teen said crossing his arms, seeming hesitant about the idea.
The blonde woman frowned for a little and took a small breath shaking her head "I understand you concern Blake you need to see beyond those worries or they will become paranoia, we never knew from where you came from when we found you or the others, but we still love you with all our hearts, so could you please try to do the same for your new brother? He truly only wishes to help people who he thinks that could be in danger, and he could get severely injured if he doesn't get the help he needs", after that small speech he let out a sigh "I... suppose that you are right about that" he spoke and stood up, "alrigth ill see what I can do" he added making his mother smile and thank him after she walked back out of the room to continue her daily routine.
Blake directed to the room where Katherine finished bandaging up Ikara, walking inside with his arms crossed "hey there kid, you seem to have messed up your hands a lot" he said looking down at him "pfffft what? this? It's nothing I could go all day long "he responded "whatever you say kid", this made the young boy huff a little more "why are you here anyways? I was pretty sure you didn't want me around at all" he said "well that may or may not be true but mother seems to be very worried about you, and I don't like to see her worried so I going to help you train without continuing to overwork yourself so much" he added up, making the boy's eyes lit up for a moment and instantly jump down from the bed "you will!? Let's go then!" he said frantically, "alrigth relax now, don't act so hyper or I might just cancel this "Blake said as he started to walk out of the room "follow me and keep quiet until I say so" he spoke making Ikara groan a bit "fine" he answered and followed him outside of the room as well as of the cave.
Once a couple of feet away from it the black-haired male turned back around over to the boy "alrigth this should be a safe distance" he said "a safe distance for what?" Ikara asked, "well mother told you wanted to keep trained but that you needed a method that wouldn't completely destroy your arms, so we are going to try for that here, so I am going to teach you how to use your life energy" he spoke out only managing to confuse Ikara, "life energy?", "I guess I shouldn't have expected you to know about this. but you are just a kid after all so I can't blame you" he responded making him pout a bit, "okay I will explain you but you have to pay close attention, you see everything that lives has energy, not matter how small or big it is, and some people can learn to harness it, and use it for defensive or offensive means among a lot of others but those two are the basic ones, so we will start with them to make thins simpler at the start" Blake explained , making Ikara tilt his head trying to understand, doing a little better with the more detailed explaining but still having a bit of trouble.
"So, does that mean I could learn to use it? And that wouldn't make me use my hands?" Ikara asked him "well not necessarily but it will help you not use them directly so you will have time for them to heal while you work on this instead" he spoke out.
"Oh okay, and how do I do it?" Ikara asked looking up at him "look closely" the older male said before placing his hands down with his palms opened, "you have to focus on what you want to make, and direct all your energy over to where you want it to come from, feel it flow through you and let it out using your force of will as its filter to take strength" he spoke out as a sphere of raw and natural energy formed on his hands.
They boy looked at the sphere in awe with his eyes glimmering, which made Blake feel a bit proud for a reason that he couldn't understand, at least not at the moment "huh you liked that? Well, that's only the tip of the iceberg, there are countless types of energy but the easiest one to harness is the raw one since it doesn't need any extra steps, it might still be a it hard at first but with enough training you will be able to- "the teen was cut off short from his lesson as the sight of something beyond shocking.
This sight was Ikara recreating the actions Blake had done a couple of seconds a go, almost perfectly summoning a sphere of energy on his hands but the one he made was of a bright orange color, and on that moment the he could see an expression of complete concentration on his face, like if there was nothing else on his mind but mastering what he had just saw.
"What is this kid... "he whispered to not disturb the younger male as it seemed mesmerizing to him 'I barely even showed or talked about how to do this and he is already doing it for a first glance, its unreal. what kind of spirit does he have on him?' he thought to himself, after that he decided to try to find an answer, closing his eyes and attempting to feel the energy coursing through Ikara, only to have his eyes shut open almost a second after, stepping back from an immense overwhelming feeling.
"w...what the heck! "He spoke out loud finally causing for Ikara to lose his focus and made the sphere disappear between his hands from the surprise "huh? What happened" the young male asked, to this Blake decided to keep what he saw to himself feeling like it wouldn't be a good idea to tell him this while being so young "nothing kid. I just didn't expect you to be a so quick learner" he lied partially.
"Oh uh. thank you I guess" he responded being taken back for the sudden change in mood "but that's a good thing, that means we can advance on this training a lot faster, so are you ready to pick up the pace kid?" he asked with a bit of a more encouraging tone, this cause the orange eyes boy to smile widely "of course!".
It passed hours until Alfan and the kids to come back, when he looked for Katherine, but he found her already outside with a smile on her face, looking at Ikara and Blake still training together on the flow of energy through their hands and arms, this caused the rest of the family to smile as well at both blake finally bonding with the young boy and at his extraordinary growth. Every day it seemed clearer, that this kid was unlike anything they had ever seen, and that was a good thing.
