"Pst y/n!" I hear someone whisper from behind me as I was making my way down the stairs.I turn around to find Kate beckoning me over.

"Didi?" I say questioningly

"Are you up for a morning ride?" She says mischievously, a smile breaks through my face as I walk towards her, searching for any person wandering around the house that could get us in trouble
......

"How do you feel being here?" Kate asks as we ride through this trail we found

"Well I certainly can't say I am not excited, although the prospect of marriage frightens me, I will surely say I will enjoy going to the balls and experiencing what it is to be a debutant" I say looking ahead towards the clearing

"Just know no one is rushing you, do not go with the first gentleman that says something nice, and do not listen to anything everyone else says and most importantly search for love" Kate says looking at me

"Who do you take me for?, i care about what the ton thinks of me" I joke chuckling " of course I will not go with the first man that says something pleasant, all I want is to find a man that loves me and whom I love, a love match, just like mother and father"

"I know you, Bon" She says shaking her head "Although you have a strong personality that will not take ugly words from another, you wear your heart on your sleeve and you have not had that much experience with men, some are despicable, who will say pleasant words to trap you in and once you are in their arms, they reveal themselves truly, only for you to find they are the worst person in the world" anger radiating on her face

"Sounds like you have had experience, is there a man back in India you have not told me about?" I say teasingly, her face goes emotionless

"But enough of this matter" She says firmly, ignoring my words "race you to the other side" She then goes faster with her horse, leaving me behind

"Hey!" I exclaim going after her, I was far behind now, trying to catch up but I had no luck

"Woah there!" I hear as Kate passes someone, me following soon behind

"Misses, are you in trouble?!" I hear the man exclaim as we pass him

We both ignore his words encouraging our horses to go faster, I laugh wholeheartedly as I see the man riding after us. Kate looks back at me as we share a smile humorously, we pass between some bushes and keep riding on the clearing, when I see some shrubbery ahead.

"No, didi!" I exclaim as I see her getting closer to the shrubbery " You know I have not yet mastered the jump" I see her shrug as I scoff

She jumps over the shrubbery while I tug on the horses reins to stop, the man stopping behind me, Kate looks back at me teasingly while I glare at her, she then turns around to keep going up the path, leaving me alone with the man. I huff turning to look at the man.

"Are you alright?" The man asks " I kept calling after you both but you would not stop"

"Perhaps when one does not stop, it means they are fine" I huff "Apologies, sir" I say breathing heavily from the ride " we did not mean to cause anyone concern, we were just simply going for a morning ride on this beautiful morning" I smile sheepishly, the man's eyes roaming around my face

"Does your maid know you are both riding astride?" He asks with a smile

"We have no maid" I say urging my horse to start walking so I can get back or at least catch up with Kate

"You are both married then?" He says, I look at him with my eyebrows raised

"Not that it is any of your concern but no, I am afraid I am just now entering into society, certainly have no husband, as for Kate, well I cannot say anything" I say riding ahead of him, he rides after me
