Malachi's P.O.V.

“Good morning.” I grumble out as I sluggishly drag my feet across the room and to the fridge. Where I immediately swing the metal door open as a chorus of cheerful good morning sounds out in the room.

However, among those chirp good mornings, the one voice I want to hear doesn't echo among the other; plus, I didn't smell his sweet vanilla scent when I had entered the room. So, I know he isn't up yet; which is all the more reason to hurry and leave before he makes his way down for breakfast. Even though, it hurts me to leave without seeing him it's for the best because ever since that incident with his pathetic friend and his stupid dad who I later found out is Colton's bate, which makes Ben Hayden's bate. See my dilemma; even so, I had tried countless times to apologize to him, but for the pass two weeks he has been too busy with his precious Benjamin to give me even the slightest bit of attention.

So four days ago when he decided that I was now relevant again he came knocking at my bedroom door and being the petty ass person I am; I returned the favor by ensuring that I locked the door every single night for the pass four days. But what push me to treat him with such cruelty was the fact that he had the audacity to come to beg for me to let him in, knowing damn well he smelled like the other wolf.  I couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal as I sat rooted in the middle of my bed with a permanent scowl hinge on to my face as I hatefully glare at the door that separated us.

Even though, a small part of me feels like I might have taken things a bit too far last night. Because I can still hear the vivid sounds of my baby crying while pound on the door as he begs for me to let him. Even the light traces of pain and rejection remains heavily on our already struggling bond. I release a shaky sigh as I have completely forgetting what I was looking for, however, I still continue my aimlessly searching of the slightly empty fridge.

“Malachi, close the fridge! You've been standing there for about an hour now.” A barely mute voice scold; fortunately for me, no matter how slow Lora shrews are, I can pock up on her pesky voice from a mile away.  As soon as I'm return to reality by Lora, my highly sensitive ears swiftly pick upon a loud rattling sound that comes from the fridge. Upon hear the refrigerator's cry of pain, my eyes immediately bulge from their socket as I utterly several curse words.

“Shit! I broke the fucking thing!” I thought to myself as my grip tighten on the metal door. The distress refrigerator whiff out a subtle humid air that swirl around my flat skin as I hurried bend forward, so I can have a better look inside the fridge. I'm quickly stuffing my left hand in the ice-box to inspect the damage. But no matter how hard I look, I still cannot find what's wrong with the stupid thing. “Why do I break everything I touch?” I whine to myself as I continue my hopeless inspection.

I can't shake the feeling that this time Mary-lee would hate me for breaking yet another kitchen appliance. Unfortunately, this isn't the first or second appliance I had broken, I mean, just three days ago I broke the toaster and Then a couple of nights after that it was the microwave. I had accidentally put the leftover lasagna which was covered in aluminum foil in the microwave to heat up, which caused billions of electric sparks going off in the darn thing just before it completely shorts-out.

I can't even remember what happened with the toaster, one minute I was perfectly fine, then the next Hayden's adorable little smile pops into my head and everything I was doing went to shit. At that moment when I had broken the toaster and microwave, I low-key expected Mary-lee to loss her stuffings over her damage appliance; however, she was more concern with my well-being than the stupid appliances. But now I fear she might kill me when she realizes that I broke something even bigger than a toaster.
