Just then, A bunch of drunks walk in the door. They walk over to me and Schlatt and start treating us like animals and threatening us.

(TW: STRONG LANGUAGE, IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE SKIP TO THE +++++)

"GO BACK TO THE PET STORE, BASTERD" One yells at Schlatt. He acts like he doesn't care but he does. His ears lower and I hive him the signal. We rush to the back, ignoring the screams of "Running back to the forest?" And "THATS RIGHT ! RUN BACK TO YOUR MOTHER" and other things. But one caught me off guard. "PUSSY CAT YOU RUNNING BACK TO YOUR MUM?" One yelled. I pushed it aside and just kept running.

+++++ (TRIGGER WARNING OVER)

We made it to the back, out of breath. "Are you drunk? Do you need a lift home?" I ask him. "No, but a lift would be nice. I walked here and I don't want those guys to chase me." He said. I go to my car and motion for him to get in. He tells me his address and we start driving. "So, sorry if this is weird to ask, but are you a-" he says. I quickly cut him off. "Yes, I am a hybrid. How did you tell?" "Well, your tail poked out when the... Drunk people came over. They noticed, if you couldn't tell." He said. "Also, you slightly hissed at them." He pointed out.

I hate it when I do that. Most the time I don't even notice. I sigh and take off my hat and work apron. We were in traffic so at least we weren't moving. Two brown ears with white tips popped up, and a fluffy, brown tail with black stripes and a white tip became visible.

We finally reach my house after a while. He stays in my driveway while I walk up to my house, just incase. And good thing he did. I reached into my back pocket to grab my keys to find they weren't there. And my spare was with Ted, he was staying at my house for a while. But, unlucky for me, he was at a convention with Charlie tonight and won't be back for a few days. And he had the key with him. I turn back to Wilbur's car. And tell him the problem.

We look in his car to find they weren't there. "I can look for them at work. Most likely one of our staff will find it and put it in the missing items box. But I don't work on the weekends." He replied. Great. "But, you can stay at my place until then." He said. "Really? You wouldn't mind?" 

"No, not at all! Hop in." He says, unlocking the door to his car.
