Izzie's POV

I was walking in the hallway while watching tiktok on my phone. I bumped into someone, I didn't see who bumped into because I was on my phone.

"Sorry" I said quickly and was about to continue to walk when the person grabbed my arm.

"Hey! Not so fast" they said. I recognised the voice immediately, it was Nate.

"What?" I said annoyed.

"I've actually been meaning to talk to you" he said. I nodded a okey.

"Izzie.. I miss you and I think we should try again" he said.

I couldn't help but burst into a laugh.

"Stop it's not funny" Nate said.

"AHAHAH, I do not want to get back together with you. I'm super gay, like the gayest of gay. Lesbianic" I answered him.

"You won't believe what happened today" I said to Casey over the phone.

"What happened?" she said.

I told her the Nate story and she just started laughing. We talked for a while about the track-meet next weekend. Then when I was about to hang up Casey said she had to ask me something.

"So you know Beth, Evans' little sister, her birthday is this weekend and she invited me. She also said that you could come too. Do you think we should go?" she asked.

"Umm, maybe it'll be a little weird since it's at your ex's house, I don't think I wanna go but you can go if you want" I answered.

"But it won't be any fun without you, please go with me" She said.

"I'll think about it, love you bye" I said and hung up.

Casey's POV

It was now Thursday night and the party was tomorrow, and Izzie still hadn't answered.

I called her about seven times, but she didn't pick up.

"Hey mom, I'm going to Izzie's house to check in on her"

"Okey honey. Tell her that she can stay here if she wants"

I knocked on the front door, Izzie's mom opened.

"Hi Casey you sweet thing"

"Hi ms Taylor" I said.

"What brings you here?" she asks.

"Um I wanna see Izzie, is she here?"

"No, I actually haven't seen her in a while, I thought she was at your place"

"Oh okey, bye" I said. I started to feel more and more anxious the closer I got back home.
