Ever since your move to Hawkins, you've had your eyes on a group of friends. Everything about them piqued your interest. Whether it be their style, confidence, or just the sight of them having, you wanted to meet them. However, there was one thing that held you back from this. Your horrendous social anxiety.
Today, you're going to rectify your status with the group.
Of course when lunch comes around.
[ ENTER: LUNCHTIME ]
Finally, it was time to head to lunch. You kept in mind that you would have to make yourself talk to the Hell Fire Club. After buying your lunch, you sat at half of the Hell Fire Club's lunch table that was empty.
This was it. Everyone at the table was staring at you. Right before you spoke, someone came up behind you and grabbed your shoulders. They screamed, "What are you doing?!" You felt like your soul left your body as you turned around.
It was the tall male who the others called the leader of their group. His hair was made up of long, loose curls that went down to his shoulders. He had dark brown eyes that were almost black. The most interesting aspect of his appearance was his outfit, consisting of a leather jacket, a shirt with their club logo on it, and to top it off, a jean jacket with torn-off sleeves.
While you were still trying to process what just happened while catching your breath, the tall figure informed you, "Sorry if I scared you, sweetheart, it was supposed to be a harmless joke" he reassured you while patting your shoulder.
He sat down beside you to introduce himself and the rest of the club. "I'm Eddie Munson, leader of the Hell Fire Club. The kid with the black hair is Mike, and next to him is Dustin. Next to Dustin is Chatter. Then on the other side-" you cut him off. You turned slightly red and whispered to him, "Hey, uh. Whose that guy with the sort of curly hair?" He conveyed a look on his face as if he knew exactly what you were thinking. "If you'll let me finish, on the other side of the table is Gareth, and next to him is Jeff."
You and Gareth exchanged two different looks. Yours was flustered and awkward. His look was nervous and somewhat confused. Nonetheless, he gave you a welcoming smile.
Eddie winked at Gareth, then continued to talk to you. "I almost forgot to ask, what's your name?" You froze for a second and then gave him your name. "Hmmm, I think that's a very worthy name for a new club member! What about you guys? Do you think they should get to join?" Assuming that you already knew how to play Dungeons and Dragons, which was correct, the rest of the club members agreed to let you join.
For the rest of lunch, you all talked about your interests, hobbies, and opinions on different teachers. You mentioned one of your favorite hobbies, drawing. The mention of the topic interested Gareth and Dustin, so you pulled out some of the recent sketches of your D&D characters, classmates, and other subjects.
After what felt like hours of actually enjoying yourself for once, it was time for you to head to your ELA class. From far away, it may have seemed like Eddie "The Freak" Munson was chasing you down but in reality, you two were just playing tag in the hall.
