Disclaimer: in this one-shot the whole vulcano eruption and robot shit didn't happen, but Heather still won the season.
With that said I hope you all enjoy this little thing I wrote

Total Drama World was finally over.
No more shootings.
No more Owen incessantly screaming at every departure and landing.
No more economy class full of rats and very unreassuring humidity stains.
No more Chris calling the cast at the more unrealistic hours for the weirdest challenges.
No more bad recited drama just for some extra screentime.
No more singing.
No more everything, it was over.
But that for Noah also meant no more adventures around the world.
No more getaways in the car those few times they didn't have to record.
No more nights in front of a bonfire in the most unlikely parts of the world.
No more resting in first class with massages and face masks.
No more unforgettable memories.
No more Alejandro.
Yeah. Noah realized right then, as they were coming down from the top of that volcano in Hawaii, that for the brief time he wasn't on that show that he had missed the guy much more that he would like to admit, and seeing him half naked surrounded by lava sunkissed by the sunset wasn't helping suppressing that unfamiliar feeling.
After wrapping everything up and after much insistence from the main cast, Chris asked the show's producers to postpone the return flight for a couple of days, officially because "at least that way if scenes wouldn't turn out well in editing they could simply reshot", in reality because none of those troubled kids were ready to go back to their own homes, to what could be defined as normality.
That evening all the main cast had decided to take the perhaps last drive of that trip. They would have their last adventure alone, away from the cameras and around those paradisiac islands.
Heather was driving the car that had Noah, Alejandro and Courtney who, despite everything, had remained friends with the guy (and a little less with Heather). Noah would have much preferred to be in the car with his friends, but upon discovering that Izzy would be driving, he preferred to let it go so as not to get killed. Not to mention that, seemingly for no logical reason, the two girls had insisted that Noah come with them on that strange trip.
In reality it was simply because everyone by now had become aware of the strange friendship between Noah and Alejandro, ready to chat civilly one moment, and the next to challenge each other in some mental contest or logical challenge (not in the same way Alejandro challenged Heather, in an almost affectionate way, however affectionate Noah might be). Even Owen was aware that Noah, a known sleep cuddler, gravitated way too often toward the other boy in question during his frequent naps. Or the look Ale gave Noah as he read, that look he should have reserved solely for Heather according to the film makers. But we're not talking about that, we're talking about an improvised road trip.
We are talking about when Alejandro was standing in the back seat, leaning out of the car's lowered sunroof, smiling like never before. Noah at that moment would have dedicated all the roads leading to the sea to him, but he was far too much in denial to admit it.
The laughter and chatter stopped only at the ringing of a phone, Alejandro's voice slowly growing angrier in a conversation only Courtney could understand, a cellphone flying by with Ale's mother screaming. Screams of joy after the phone broke on the road, shouts of freedom, of hope, followed by a lucid, gritted-toothed look that processed everything that happend.
"You were crying," affirmed Noah as Alejandro sat back down.
"It was an optical illusion," replied the other, not ready to talk about it.
The silence that followed this exchange was not the usual silence of complicity that existed between the two boys, that silence that speaks far too much. This was a wordless silence, an awkward silence, but as soon as Alejandro's strong arms surrounded Noah's slender body, that silence changed meaning.
Soon after, Noah fell asleep and moved even closer to the other boy, who returned that look Noah had given him earlier, those thoughts that made Alejandro think about naming the next hurricane after that boy, just to get everyone talking about him.
-.-.-.-
That night no one should have had a hard time falling asleep, yet our favorite duo was still up. Alejandro was still processing what he had told his mother that afternoon, while Noah was just trying to decipher the other's confused and debilitated look, so rare to see in the systematic and organizational person that Ale was. Or at least, to that Ale whom he had known up to that moment.
Despite the calm and quiet night, neither was looking romantically at the moon thinking about the other. Noah wasn't looking at those green eyes thinking he could live there, and Alejandro wasn't thinking about how much he would give everything to be with Noah some more time before returning back.
Returning back to where? He mulled over the words of his mother, who had demanded to know whether or not he had won the competition. How he had foolishly shouted the truth at her and how she had not hesitated to hold his brother's goals against him, and how he would've surely won, as well as strongly urging him not to return since he did not meet that family's standards.
This stream of thought was interrupted only by a faint voice whispering to the fire, or at least that was what Noah wanted people to believe. Which people, since they were all blissfully asleep, was not important.
" tell me who you are"
"¿Qué?"
"tell me who you really are."
Alejandro smiled, not his usual smile, a genuine smile, thanking that boy for understanding that he needed to think about something else. So he slowly approached Noah, sat down on the same wet log as the boy, and started talking about whatever was on his mind as he had never done before. At one point their hands intertwined and they both pretended that this didn't affect them, but how that conversation ended, what happened in the following days, months, years is a secret only they have the privilege to know.
