"Yeji!"

She felt lost at first. Where was she? Who was calling her name? But then her bedroom door opened, letting the dim light in, and soon enough a pair of hands were holding her in place. She instantly knew who it belonged to, but for some reason it didn't feel real.

"Yeji. Princess."

That voice. That distant voice. She could recognise it anywhere.

"R-Ryujin?"

She sounded out of breath, almost desperate, "It's me, love. I'm here. You're okay."

Panic started rising inside her chest, and she threw herself at Ryujin. She looked for anything to cling to, trying to calm herself down, but she found nothing but skin. And then hit her. Ryujin was shirtless, wearing only her sports bra.

Ryujin didn't hesitate as she wrapped her strong arms around the small frame of Yeji's body, engulfing her into a healing hug. The raven-haired hid her face on her neck, breathing her scent in. Ryujin should've known better than to buy her excuses. It was obvious that she wasn't okay, and he hadn't been observant enough.

Yeji needed protection, and not just in a physical way, not just from outside threats.

"You're okay," she repeated the soothing words as she rubbed her back slowly, hoping it would ease her growing anxiety, "Was it a nightmare?"

Ryujin felt her nod against her shoulder, "Alright," hugging Yeji tighter, the brunette let out a content sigh against her skin that made her shiver, "Want to talk about it?"

Yeji pulled back just slightly, enough to give herself so more room to breathe. Her face was as passive as it would be in slumber. Ryujin moved closer and placed a careful hand on her knee, touching her covered skin just lightly. Even though she was already awake, she opened her eyes as if waking up from a deep sleep.

Ryujin's eyes were steady like an anchor bringing her back to Earth, face aglow with the faint light coming from her room. Her lips bore the semblance of a warm smile, just enough to show her that she was welcome to talk, and that Ryujin is willing to listen. Yeji shifted in the bed, moving closer to her and the warmth her body irradiated. Yeji stayed quiet, allowing herself to stay lost in the moment just for a while longer.

"It was about today," she swallowed, "I was alone with that man and he... He..."

"You don't have to keep going," Ryujin squeezed her knee, "You're safe here."

With you.

I'm safe with you.

She nodded, silently telling her that she wasn't going to keep pushing it.

"Are you feeling alright?"

Ryujin's eyes widened. Was Yeji seriously asking her how she was? She was unbelievable sometimes.
