Meet the family

*BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP*. The home alarm went off, blasting through out the whole house. You jumped at the noise as it awoke you out of your sleep. Loosing your balance you fell out of bed and onto the cold hardwood floor. "Enhhh oww what the hell," You said rubbing your back.

You rubbed the skin between yours eyes together trying to prosses what is happening. The alarm still going off, you got up and fixed your hair roughly in the mirror. You hair was a ugly mess. You took both hands and tried flattening the top to seem more presentable. You could hear footsteps outside your door running down the hallway. Then it hit you. Why the alarm was going off in the first place, the house had an intruder!

"Oh shit!," You said to yourself as you ran to the door and opened it. You closed your door and began fast walking down the hallway. You abruptly stopped yourself once you relised you wete still in your pajamas and slid back to your room. You threw on your uniform and sped walked out of your room tying your tie as you walked. Aswell fixing your uniform at the same time. You turned the first corner and seen the rest of your siblings already at the balcony, you began to walk faster.

From the downstairs living room you could hear Ben and his irritating voice yell, "Dad who the hell are these assholes?". You rolled your eyes hearing Ben's voice, man was always trying to be top dog but I guess this what happens when you get number 2.

Even though you were already irritated by hearing his voice you did wonder what was going on. Who could the intruders be? You inched towards the balcony trying to not make yourself standout. You crouched a bit and slowly moved to where your siblings stood. You stood behind Alphonso hiding yourself. Fei looked at you as you hid behind Alphonso and you could feel her judging you.

You rolled your eyes. You peeked around Alphonso and looked to the living room where the intruders were. There were 6 of them and they seemed to be having a conversation with Ben? "Alphonso what's going on?" You whispered.Then the one who was clearly armed with knives yelled, "And who are the weirdos on the balcony!?".

Your eyes opened wide hearing the loud voice. Mostly because you thought it was a girl before he opened his mouth. From behind the intruders Dad answered with, "They are the Sparrows. My children.".

"No clue..."Alphonso answered not taking his eyes off odd bunch.They all looked back at us with confused expressions. Someone began to speak from the group but you couldn't tell who it was coming from, "I'm sorry. What do you mean, your children?".

You looked around and examined all the intruders trying to see who was now speaking. Then you seen a boy, your age? He was the one speaking, "That's not possible, old man."

Dad spoke in a more aggressive tone, clearly he didn't like being called 'old man', "Of course it is! I think I'd know, wouldn't I?". Marcus then began walking towards the secret stairs behind the balcony to the living room, we all followed right behind him.

We reached the living room and stood Infront of the bar. Here you could get a better look at the young boy, he reminded you of someone you just couldn't remember who. The hippy looking one then said something very... unusual, "Everybody can see Ben, right?".

You raised a eyebrow at his words? Hold on how did they know Ben's name and who he was?? Ben and his horrible attitude shot back a sarcastic response to the hippy, "Cute hat Sundance.".

"They call themselves the Umbrella Academy, a group of scheming perfidious malcontents who accosted me on the fall of 1663 when I was away on business in Dallas. Be warned, they claim to be my spawn, " Dad said in his riddle like way of talking, yet clarifying who were was standing in our house.

A girl in a long black cloak spoke in a confused and frustrated tone, "Claim? Look, Five what the hell is going on!?". You already didn't like her by how bratty she spoke.
