This was bad.
This was really bad.
"Hm," Yin said as he looked at the article on the laptop's screen. "Didn't expect you to figure it out so quickly."
Yang didn't know what to say. Yin, the good half, had poisoned somebody. Somebody they knew. Sure, Silver was a jerk, but he didn't deserve death!
"Yang, are you there?"
Yang snapped out of his thoughts and tried to get out a response.
"Why did you... Why did you poison Silver?"
"Because he deserved it. Simple as that."
"Deserved...? Maybe he deserved to be knocked down a few pegs, but he didn't deserve to die!"
"Hm. And here I thought you'd be open to the idea."
Now that really took Yang aback. Sure, he's killed one or two contestants before, but they were revived soon after. To kill someone when they might not get revived? It was sick.
"No way! And you're supposed to be the good half!?"
Yin laughed mirthlessly. "True. But I've gotten sick of being all goody-goody to these dumb idiots. And then they turn around and call us a liability, or 'too much to handle', while I'm trying my best! I've had enough of it."
Yang couldn't believe what he was hearing. Was this really the same Yin that had been so cordial with Silver just a few days ago?
Wait.
Silver... the flowers... "Are you what's been causing my dreams?"
"What?"
"Ever since the visit with Silver, I keep having these weird dreams about watching someone in pain and purple flowers."
"Oh! Well, I had to block you out when Silver started feeling the effects of the poison. I guess some of the memories must have gotten through."
So the dreams were from what Yin did? All that pain he saw Silver in... was real?
"You're sick."
"Rude."
"I'm gonna tell everyone about this!"
Yin giggled. He was finding this funny?
"Go ahead, tell them I poisoned Silver. I'll tell them you mixed up my herbs as a prank and accidentally mixed a poison herb in with my tea herbs."
Was he... "You're not..."
"Go ahead. Tell them. Who will they believe, you or me?"
