My loud alarm from my clock woke me up and I swore, I nearly dropped off my bed. Or at least that was what happened a second ago.. My mom just had to burst into my room, causing me to jump and fell off my bed. "Ouch.." I mumbled to myself, rubbing the side of my cheek.

"Rise and shine, Hope! It's your first day of school," My mom said loudly and happily. Then, she was out of the room, leaving me on the floor. I bet she didn't even knew that I was lying on the ground in pain because of her.

I groaned and got up, barely able to open my eyes.

Wait, mother just called me by my middle name when I told her not to! Ugh.

Hearing my middle name being called made me feel worse. Hope. Of all the years I've been in school, everyone makes fun of me. I always hoped for a better day after each horrible day that I've been through but it never happens. Now, I'll be going to a new school, again. Let's hope this would make a change.

I washed up and wore my usual style of clothing, which consists of a buttoned-up blouse with a ribbon around the collar and checkered skirts. I will never, ever, ever forget to pair it up with knee high socks and black shoes. Some people think I have a weird sense of style but I completely love the way I dress!

I went downstairs and grabbed my breakfast. Mother made banana pancakes, oh wow. It was mouthwatering. Her pancakes never failed to make me drool over it.

"Kelsey! Hurry up! You're gonna be late," My mom yelled from the outside after she started the engine of her sedan.

"Coming, mom!" I stuffed the last pancake into my mouth and out I went, into the car and ready for school. Not really.

After a 20 minute drive to school, we finally reached. I gulped as I looked at everyone. My palms started to sweat and I was feeling so nervous. What if they don't like me?

"C'mon, Kelsey! It's your first day. Have a nice day alright?" My mom gave me a light kiss on the forehead. I took a deep breath and got out of the car. My mom left almost immediately after that and of course I sighed, shaking my head.

I walked through the doors of Seahawks High and it didn't surprise me at all to see no one looking at me. People were making out at their lockers, sucking each other's faces off and I couldn't help but feel kind of disgusted. Did I mention that my first kiss is still with me? I guess not.

When I turned to the next corridor, I bumped into someone's shoulder and oh my, that person's shoulder had to be a rock or made out of steel because it hurt so so bad! I couldn't keep my balance and I fell, on my butt.

"Watch where you're going, freak!" He said frustratedly. He never bothered to help me out or at least ask if I was okay. Cool, maybe that was how things went in Seahawks High.

"Sorry," I muttered as I got up and patted the ends of my skirt. I finally looked at his face just as he looked at mine.

"Well, well, well.. Look who it is," Meeting the same pair of blue eyes I did weeks ago. He laughed at me and that was when everyone's gaze was on me. My brain completely stopped functioning. I couldn't think of anything to say. I couldn't stand everyone staring at me and now, they're laughing at me. My day is going just great.

"Kelsey Winslett," It came from the speaker. "Kelsey Winslett, please come to the office for your timetable."

That was it, my cue to walk away or another option, run from all of these people. So, I did. I walked and walked, never looking back at him. I could still hear the laughter after I left that hallway and turned into another one. Ugh.
