POV: Tess
8 miles later, we went to Maren's Mocha for breakfast. I ordered a blueberry muffin and a caramel frappuccino. Nia was going on and on about how excited she is about the environmental protection camp she was going to after she finished breakfast. It's basically just a 2 day sleepaway camp where they learn about what they can do to protect the environment and they get community service hours for school and stuff.

"And we get to go to the beach and pick up trash," Nia exclaimed and we all rolled our eyes for like the 18th time today, "Okay, y'all can at least act like you're interested."

"But we're not," Booker replied nonchalantly.

"It's not that we're not interested, it's the fact that this is like the 20th time you've told us this week," I said.

"Uhh, speak for yourself. I wasn't even interested the first time she told us," Booker said and I gave him a look.

"I'm sorry guys, I'm just so excited," Nia squealed and we all covered our ears.

"Yeah we can tell," Levi said, rubbing his ear.

After we finished eating our breakfast, we dropped off Nia at the environmental protection camp and then went home.

When we got there Booker asked me if I wanted to go on the roof terrace with him and see who can throw the most free throws (sorry if I sound dumb, I don't play basketball lmao). And of course I said yes. 

"Okay but you know I let you win right," Booker said smiling when we were finished playing .

"You can keep telling yourself that," I said as we walked in the house.

"Okay anyways, I'm finna go take a shower."

"Nuh uhh, ladies first,"I said and ran in front of him,

"But I live here," he said and gently pushed me and ran (well, tried to).

"Exactly, and I'm your guest," I said and pulled him back and tried to run.

"Okay and?," he said and pushed me but this time harder.

I screamed as I lost my balance and bumped into the wall.

"Ooops, I did not mean to push you that hard," he said and I could tell he was trying not to laugh.

I looked up at him. I was in the most awkward position, but to be honest it didn't even hurt, I was just in shock. It was silent for a second.

"My bad," he said and in mid sentence burst out laughing and I joined in immediately while he helped me up.

"What is going on?" Ms.B  asked, "I heard a big bang and then yall laughing. Yall better not had broke something"

"I accidentally pushed Tess too hard because we were fighting over who gets to shower first,"Booker said, trying not to laugh.

"Boy if you don't let her go take her shower first. She's our guest. And Tess hurry and take your shower because I have some news to tell you after," She said and started to walk to the kitchen.

"But Ma-," he said, starting to follow her into the kitchen and then gave up. He turned towards me, and I gave him a big smile. He just looked at me with an unamused expression."I hate you," he mouthed and I laughed and went inside the bathroom.

After I took my shower, I went into Nia's room and put on a simple white cropped tank top, some long black jeans, black and white air jordans, and a black letter jacket over it. Next, I put on some light makeup and some perfume. Then I went into the living room to see what Ms. B needed to tell me.
When I walked in Booker was laughing at something Levi said and Ms. B was on her phone. She saw me and immediately stood up.
"Hey,Tess, you might wanna sit down."
