CHAPTER 12
A vision was showing itself in the darkness as I slept away.
I watched scenes playing before my eyes of the Straw Hats' loyal ship, the Going Merry. The day she met Usopp, Zoro, and Luffy. When Usopp used her cannon as he and Luffy practice with it. All the time where Luffy sat upon her head claiming it's the captain's seat. The time that Luffy yelled at Zoro who was in a deep sleep in his spot. Nami bang the guy's heads for damaging her parts. In the stormy weather when Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji vowed on accomplish their dreams over a barrel on her before entering the Grand Line. She remembers it all. The unimaginable they've been through together since entering the Grand Line. She even reminisces the day Nico Robin became part of her family as well. The journey to Skypeia until crashing from the sky into Marine Fortress.
I woke up with a jolt and rose as I felt the ship shudder then the sound of planks breaking.
"Can you help me?" I heard a sweet innocent voice speaking to me. For a moment, I thought it was the Goddess of Reality.
"Can you help me...pass on my memories?...Please, pass them onto the Straw Hats' new ship...so they...will know my story...I want the new ship to carry on my legacy and continue protecting our friends and sail them to achieve their dreams...."
The voice fades completely.
"Who are you?!" I said to the air.
I eventually found out who the voice belonged to at the time Luffy and friends had to say their heartbreaking goodbyes The Going Merry. It had mysteriously started snowing. I end up crying my heart out as well. I recalled crying like this when I first saw this moment on screen. But hearing her voice in person, her sweet goodbyes, I couldn't help my waterworks. It didn't hurt any less since I knew they would say farewell to her someday, but I didn't think it would be so soon. We had met Mayor Iceburg with Galley-La on their ship half-way when Merry gave out. I decide to board their ship with Ito. I felt it would be disrespectful when I was just a stranger to her. However, I didn't know how she discovered I could see memories.
Merry had told the Straw Hat's that she had fun with all of them no matter how they treated her and Luffy wailed her name in great sadness.
"Please pass on my memories..." that was the final note Merry mention as she faded.

Hours after the funeral, the Straw Hats were in mourning. I felt for them so I didn't say anything the entire time. We all were gather outside the temporary headquarters of the Galley-La Company on the courtyard. Usopp was gone grieving on his own somewhere. Sanji explained to me that Usopp had left the crew. I then remembered that I also hated this moment when Usopp and Luffy had their emotional fight.
