The sun rose to its peak in the sky and soon began to fall in the West, like a glowing ball of fire.

"Can we stop?" Gendry asked, as dusk settled, casting eerie shadows over our path. "Alright," I answered, moving off the road and into the cluster of trees.

My stomach grumbled, angry at not having eaten all day. "Build a fire," I told Gendry as I picked up my bow.

"Where are you going?" He asked. "Getting food," I said as I stalked off deeper into the trees.

I spotted a deer, nestled between the trees. She was small, a young doe. "You're mine," I whispered to myself, raising my bow and aiming.

An arrow landed on the tree above her head, an arrow that wasn't mine. She galloped off among the trees, out of sight.

"Shit," I heard a man say. "You should have let me do it," another an answered. "Oh shut up," the first man said.

I scrambled up the tree next to me, afraid the men might see me. Branches crunched underneath their feet as they went to retrieve their arrow.

The one that spoke first was tall, with jet black hair and an unruly beard. He wore clothes that a commoner wouldn't, yet only commoners hunted.

The other man was much shorter and plumper. He had red hair, but his face was clean shaven.

"She would've done us a few days," red head grumbled. "Alright. Don't forget you missed the open shot at a boat earlier," the tall one retorted.

"Only because a bird frightened him," he answered annoyed. "It doesn't matter. At the rate we are going we'll never make it to The Twins in time for the Stark wedding," the tall one said.

The Stark wedding? What Stark wedding? "I can't imagine Walder Frey is too happy to be settling for the boys uncle," red head laughed.

"No not at all, and he won't be either with us, if we are late," the black haired man said. "Of course, we must bring the Lannisters regards," red head laughed again, colder this time. It sent chills down my spine.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something white move through the trees. Poseidon!

"Shit," I mumbled as my foot slipped, cracking a branch and sending it tumbling.

"What was that?" The black haired man said, spinning in his tracks, looking in my direction. "Nothing, just the wind."

"No I heard something," the black haired man insisted, walking towards me. He stood under the tree, looking around.

"There's nobody there," the red head laughed. "Come on." Both men turned around only to face a pure white direwolf, it's sharp teeth showing.

"Ooh, don't you look nice," said the red head. The black haired man raised his bow. "Careful don't miss this time," I said, jumping off the tree and landing perfectly on my feet.

"Oooh it's a girl," the red head said, his eyes glistening. "A pretty girl." "Shut up," I said, raising my bow.

"Ooooh how frightening. She has a bow," said the black haired man. "Atleast I can hit something," I said, which made his face flame in anger.

"Watch your mouth girl," he said, taking a step closer. Poseidon growled from behind the man and he jumped.

"Give it," the red head said taking the bow off the other. "I'll kill this damn animal if you won't," he said turning around.

"Don't," I said. He laughed and lifted his bow. I put an arrow in the back of his knee before he could make another move. He screamed, sending birds flying from the trees.

"You little bitch," the black haired man spat, charging at me. Before I knew what I was doing, I shot an arrow through his chest.

It took a few seconds before he realised what I had done. He stopped in his tracks and collapsed on the ground, blood gurgling from his mouth.

The other man screamed obscenities at me. Poseidon soon shut him up by ripping out his throat. He trotted over, looking happy with himself, his white fur bloodstained.

"Aren't you the cutest," I said sarcastically as I headed off to try find something to eat.

Their screams had had scared away anything decent, but I managed to catch two pathetic looking squirrels.

I dropped them I front of Gendry and he raised his eyebrows. "This is what you... what the hell happened?" He asked.

"What?" I asked. "You're shaking," he said. He stood up and put his hands on my shoulders. "You alright?" He asked.

"Yeah, nothing serious," I said, brushing him off and sitting by the fire. "What happened?" He asked.

I picked up the squirrels and began to skin them. I told him what happened and he listened intently.

"And the worst part is," I said. "I don't feel bad for killing him." I was afraid too look at him, afraid of what his face would tell me.

When he spoke, he surprised me. "Why would you?" He asked. "B.. because I've never killed anyone before," I said looking at him.

"It's either kill or be killed," he said putting one of the squirrels on a stick and holding it over the fire.

We ate in silence.

"I'll take first watch," Gendry said. "You sure?" I asked. I knew I wasn't going to sleep tonight. "Yeah," he said.

"Goodnight Gendry," I said. "Goodnight... I don't even know your name," he said, laughing.

I smiled at him through the dying embers. "Sophia," I said. "Sophia Tarley." His eyes widened in surprised.

// AN - yes she is Sam Tarleys cousin.

But it's more complicated than that.

Mwahahaahaha :P
