Xavier POV
After a little chat with my family they leave me alone. Well not actually they wanted but I told them I am perfectly ok and I am capable of taking care of myself.
Anyway this is our own hospital. I know for sure people know who I am.
I just lazily lie on my hospital bed while busy typing over on my laptop. As much as I want to relax there are few things I need to do for the company. I have a lot of pending emails to reply to, which I am doing right now.
When I heard the door open I lifted my eyes to check who's entering my room. I automatically smiled when I saw Charlotte entering with a bunch of papers in her hands.
"Good afternoon Mr knight! I have here your laboratory results and all of them are all cleared. Though your red blood is low compared to the normal range but nothing serious more than. I suggest you will have to stay here for two to three days to ensure you will have plenty of rest!"
"Well I don't argue about that! If it's you my doctor then we don't have any problems" I said as I kept casually flirting with her.
"Yes I will be your doctor while you stay here for a while!" She said to me, " I see you are starting to work again. But I don't have a problem with that. But I suggest you mind your meals and sleep! If it's time for a nap or sleep please do! And no skipping of meals. Your mom kinda gives me a heads up about your way of eating!" She said and I smiled.
I don't mind being here as long as I get a glimpse of her everyday. Call me crazy but I am not ashamed to admit it. You might as well call me hopeless romantic in love with her.
"Hmmmm… My mom has always been the talkative of the family! Don't worry Char, I will be a good patient to you. I promise!" I said, throwing her a wink.
She tried not to get flustered but I saw her gulping nervously when step forward to come close to me.
"Good! So, I will have the nurse check on you from time to time and they will give you medicine on time too. If anything goes wrong they will alert me!" She said to me,
"Oh no! You mean to say, you're not going to personally take care of me?"
"I will! I will come to check on you everyday!"
"Yeah but what I mean, you won't be the one giving me medicine and all?"
"That would be the nurse's job! But I do take care of it sometimes!"
"No! What I mean is I want you here with me twenty four seven!" I said out loud.
"Huh? That's impossible. I still have other patients to tend to!" She said to me,
"You can give your patients to other doctors. I am pretty sure we have a lot here!" I said to her,
"I know Mr knight! But I can't neglect my responsibility to others. They are mine, so I can't just give them to other doctors as if they are things!"
"Hmmmm! I understand! But I want you to personally attend to me!"
"Mr Knight, this is not how hospitals work!" She reminded me.
"Fine!" I defeatedly said to her.
"Good!" She nodded to me.
She came to my side of my bed and stood there.
"I need to check your vitals? So can you lift your shirt for me?" She asked me.
When she came closer, she tripped on her way making her land straight to me. My hands automatically extend to catch her falling body. We were so close that I could smell her scents.
But before she could pull her body up. The door opened revealing my Mom. When she saw our position, her eyes went wide and shocked. But it only takes a moment before she gains her senses and smiles at us.
"Mrs knight this is not what it looks like!" Charlotte said defensively while she turned her hands up.
I don't think my mom heard her because she turned her back quickly and said to us.
"Ohh I think I forgot something!" She said and quickly left.
"Oh shit… shit…shit…!" Charlotte let out a few curses and mentally shocked by what happened.
My Charlotte definitely doesn't say curses.
"Oh my! Your mom saw me. What if she thinks…. Shit shit…! I should go run after her. I don't want her to think of anything wrong, about what she saw!"
"Hey, Charlotte, it's ok! Don't panic. My mom wouldn't think of anything. I mean , if anything she would be jumping out of joy right now!"
"Huh???"
"Yeah so stop thinking! Don't worry!" I said as I tried to assure her. .
"Fine! But after I check on you. I am going to meet her and explain everything to her!"
"Well fine! It's up to you!" I surrender
"Urg… why did I have to strip over and out of all fall on you? I am such an idiot!" She said and I let out a laugh.
I swear she may be serious right now but she's looking all cute.
"Why are you laughing?" She asked me incredulously.
"Nothing!" I shrugged at her. But I still have smiles on my face.
"Hmmmm… You just look all cute there!"
"Cute? Me?" She asked as if it's the most impossible thing in the world.
"Yup! Has anyone told you how beautiful you are?"
"You know, can we just resume? I am going to start checking you!" She said to me and brought out her stethoscope.
"Wow! I swear you smell amazing!". I said, trying to catch her attention.
She seems so serious so I want to take her attention instead.
"Everything is ok! So you need to rest for a while, ok? No sleeping late and please eat your food on time!" She said,
"Hmmm!"
"Good! Now you may resume what you are doing. Then I will be back again before my shift end!" She said,
