CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR - GROCERY

Xavier POV

I lazily sat in my office chair as I looked at my phone. I twirl it around and play on it. I have been debating on should I call her or not? I asked about her schedule and it's her day off today.

She will be starting the next day off to pay for her debt, that's what she said. As much as I don't want her to pay she insisted so how can I say no? Besides I like it too since I can make a move on her.

If she's in my house I can do whatever I want there. I mean not everything but I can freely make her feel my feelings for her. So yeah, I am ok with it. Call me an asshole but I am an asshole who is madly, deeply , crazy in love with her.

Fine, I will do whatever I want. No one will stop me from getting my girl! Yeah yeah… I will call my baby now.

I dial her number and it takes three rings for her to answer.

"Hey baby!" I said but then I could hear a rustle sound from her background.

"Hi Xavier!" She said to me and I smiled.

"Hey where are you?" I asked her.

"Hmmmm I am in the grocery store!"

"Really?"

"Hmmmm?"

"I'll come don't go ok? I will be there!" I said as I took my keys and immediately went outside then drove my car.

"Are you still there babe??"

"You are going here?" She asked me

"Yup! I'm already here!" I said as I parked my car. It's only a minute away from my office and also my car can drive fast.

"You're here?" She asked as if it's unbelievable!

"Hmmm! Where are you?" I asked her to enter the grocery store.

Then I ran my eyes through the grocery store but then someone bumped into me.

"OOPS sorry! Such a clumsy me!" I didn't have to guess if it's intentional or accidental because from the sound of her voice it's pretty obvious.

"It's ok! It's my fault!" I said as I was trying to be nice.

I walked away from her before she could get any idea. Mostly girls like her pretend to bump, then ask my name, then so on and so forth. I don't have time because I'm busy looking for Charlotte.

"Are you still there?" I almost forgot that I have her on my phone but the beeping sound says that it's already ended.

Good thing I saw her in the meat section. She was intensely looking at the meat. Maybe trying to pick which one. So I grab her cart and make her notice me.

"Oh hey!" She said to me then bajc her eyes to the meat.

"What are you looking at?"

"That meat! I am confused about what I am going to pick, that one or this one!" She said while pointing at them.

"How about you pick the both of them?" I said to her,

"Huh? That's too expensive!" She said to me,

I think this girl forgot who I am. So I grab all the meat in the section area. Her eyes bulged wide and looked at me in horror.

"Oh no! I didn't mean that way. Just put everything back. My goodness!"

"It will save us a lot of time. Are you going to cook?" I asked her.

"Yes!"

"Good, I am eating at your house so I am paying for all of this!" I said and grabbed her notes.

I read her notes and it even has prices on it. Wow! She must have thought this through on what to buy huh? Well I don't experience things like this. We have someone to go to the grocery store for us.

When I decided to have my own place. My mom would do my shopping and fill in my board and refrigerator.

"What are you doing?" She asked me as I kept filling the cart which was now almost full.

"Xavier this too much?" She complained and I groaned.

"Shhs.. that's ok! No need for these notes!" I said as I put it in my pocket.

"But…!"

"Ahhh… come on! Grab everything you want and put it here!"

"But…!

"No buts ok? Just keep filling the cart. I know you have something you want to buy!" I said to her and she smiled.

"Thanks!" She smiled at me and started to add a few goods!

"Is that all you will get?" I asked her since she only had five or six added.

My goodness does she really think low of me? Or she doesn't know me?

When we stopped at the sanitary section she looked for a pass. Wow! Now I know what's the feeling of being stared when you look at something in this section.

"You know, you won't need this if we have a baby. So why don't we make one?" I jokingly whispered into her.

"Shut up Xavier!" She said and those blushed I can never get enough of those I swear!

After that we went to the cashier and lined up to pay. But then someone grabbed my arm out of nowhere.

"Hey! Remember me? Do you want to grab some food?" She told the girl that I was bumped earlier.

"Sorry I don't know you!" I said to her as I swiftly avoided her and went to Charlotte's side.

"Your girlfriend?" She asked me.

"Yeah! My girlfriend!" I said as I swung my arms on Charlotte's shoulder.

Charlotte looked at the two of us with a bored look. Then she attempts to swat my arms but I hold her side to stop her.

"Please I don't want that girl to think I am available. Please just say yes you're my girlfriend??" She nodded at me.

Thank goodness! She understands!

"Wow! Lucky for you to have such a handsome boyfriend!" The girl said and left.

"Is that girl bothering you?" Charlotte asked me.

"Yup! She accidentally bumped into me when I got here!"

"Oh… so she's the one that I heard from the phone. I thought of your girlfriend!" She said then she blinked her eyes. As if she regretted what she said.

"Are you jealous baby?" I asked her.

"No!"

"Oh come on!"

"Shut Xavier!"

I want to keep teasing her but it's our turn to pay. So I stop and help her..maybe when we get home I will tease her. Right now I want to savor the feeling that she might be jealous because of that girl.
