"Okay so, are you blind, or are you blind?" Inupi asked me.

I looked confused at him.

"He was OBVIOUSLY flirting with you! And that was A DATE not a friendly hang out!" He yelled.

"Tch, yeah, sure. I'd wish." I said rolling my eyes.

"Nah, you're just dumb right now. HE IS DOING THAT ALREADY!"

"Even if he was, he's probably doing it in a joke manner. You know, to answer to my failed attempts to flirt?"

"You're not totally failing there since you got him to flirt with you back... but trust me, he is not joking."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because I work with him daily. I might know some things that you don't." He said as he got up.

"And what would those things be?"

"I'm not allowed to say, my dear friend. Promises are promises. But just trust me when I'm telling you that he is not joking."

"So you're telling me he's over Emma?"

"...Not fully. But he's almost there. I mean, he's for sure making progress. Especially lately since he's somehow got blunt."

"What if that's the exact reason he's 'flirting' with me? To get over her?"

"Can you just try and be positive for once? Dear Lord! Think like this: What if he's flirting with be BECAUSE HE LIKES ME?!"

"It seems impossible to me."

"Yes, because you're insecure and you keep discouraging yourself. But once again, trust me, it's more than possible. He finally starts to realize what has been in front of his eyes for so long -he said pointing at me- and makes moves. Should have done that long time ago if you ask me, but hey! Better later than never, right?"

"If I'll listen to you and believe in your words, it will only give me hope. A lot of hope."

"That's exactly the point, sweetie." He rolled his eyes.

"But I'm scared!" I said frustrated.

"Everyone is scared of a broken heart. But you can never emjoy something fully if you don't risk some things. It's totally fine to take some risks from time to time, you know? It can make you feel... alive. And I'm going to be honest with you, some risks may make you happier and be worth it, and some may be extremely shitty and regret it after. Whatever it is, you need both these in your life sometimes."

"It feels like you're talking from experience."

"Who said I didn't?"

"Wha-"

But before I could finish my sentence, he interrupted me.

"That's a story for another time. Maybe. Not making any promises."

"I- Okay. I won't force you to tell me anything that you're uncomfortable with."

"It's not necessary about being uncomfortable, it's just... I don't fucking know myself girl!" He said as he plopped himself on the couch.

I softly chuckled.

"I get it. You just don't feel ready to revive some memories by storytelling them to someone. And that's totally fine, don't worry! In case you ever feel the need to talk to someone, or just... need someone there, beside you, you can always call me. I'll be there faster than you blink! And we don't need to talk if you don't want to, we can just stay in silence, as long as it helps you. I'm not judging, whatever it is." I said smiling at him.

"Fuck you, you're such a good friend, ugh!" He said as he hugged me. I just giggled and hugged him back.

A cough was heard.

"Am I... interrupting something?" Ken asked.

"Yes. Besties spilling the tea session. Now fuck off." Inupi said.

"Wow, so polite, aren't you?" Ken scoffed and plopped himself on the couch beside us.

"What part of fu-" Inupi started.

"Can't hear you." He said while whisteling.

"I'm here for you too dumbass. Just so you know. I'm going to make myself some coffee, take your time. Y'all want some?" Draken asked.

"No, thank you." I answered.

"What she said." Inupi said, his head still stuffed in my shoulder.

"Not like I'd even make one for you, tch." Ken said, rolling his eyes.

But I saw his little smile that he tried to hide. They may have a weirder friendship, but they definitely care a lot about each other and no one can see that better than me.
