One - Finding Wings

Note; the story goes according to the choices I made in the actual game. There's some slight edits as well. And remember that I DO NOT own Heaven's Secret. Romance club does.

Faye's POV 

For a moment, I was blinded by a bright flash of light that made it hard for me to see. I took a step forward, nearly falling off the edge of the cliff I was on because of it. I let out a shaky breath of air as I stared down into the abyss, my stomach twisting in knots as a few pebbles fell off the cliff and into the void.

As my vision started to clear, I looked around at the dreamlike place I was in. There were floating cliffs similar to the one I was on, one particular cliff with a stunning waterfall. The water gurgled and hissed as I watched the it flow, mesmerized by how beautiful it looked. The longer I stared, the sooner I realized that something was off about this waterfall, if I could call it that: the water didn't fall, no. The sprays of water were rising, defying gravity as they climbed back up the cliff. Where the heck am I?

This is probably a dream. I'm just asleep and will soon wake up and none of this will be here. But it feels so real!

I turned around and peered into the void again and then suddenly, a loud domineering voice spoke, "Act!" The sound of the voice echoed in my head, its intensity felt all around me. It roared like thunder or the striking of a gong.

I immediately understood that something would happen if I didn't obey, something horrible. And so, as if possessed, I ran towards the edge, jumping off the cliff and into the void. I couldn't start to tell you why I did it, but the one thing I could tell you is; I was afraid. It suddenly felt so familiar, like it was just one of those bad nights where I'd dream of falling off a tall building and wake up right before I hit the ground.

But something told me this wasn't a dream. I wasn't going to wake up before I hit the ground. This was real and I was going to die.

The void welcomed me into its arms as I continued to fall, my heart pounding painfully in my ears. What was I thinking!? Why would I seriously jump off a cliff?

Fear overtook me, my hands flying out in a desperate attempt to grab hold of something, anything, that could save me.

I closed my eyes, unable to bring myself to face death. Suddenly, I heard a light whooshing sound, air blowing past me as my fall started to slow down and come to a complete stop. Like the strange water fall, my body started to defy gravity. I started to rise, my hands flailing awkwardly at my sides as I didn't know what to do with them.

Then it hit that I was moving something. My back muscles ached as I continued to rise. I looked back, my mouth falling open as I gapped at what it was I was moving; what was making me rise and not fall, "Wings?"

They flapped intuitively, like I'd been doing this my while life and it was totally normal. Except it wasn't. I laughed, both in disbelief and panic. This must be some messed up hallucination. Or better still, a trippy dream because how do you explain me going from falling to my death, to flying like a bird?
