PROLOGUE ------------

I'd seen him around high school, I'd always thought him a prick to be perfectly honest, the people he was friends with, the clothes he wore, the way he acted, I never thought in a few months I'd be dating him. Charlie Evans. That was his name. He was in year eleven, two years above me. We're the complete opposite, I was class captain, took part in school activities, obsessed with horses and a straight A student since practically kindergarten. I make myself sound like a social reject but I wasnt, I had a good set of friends but I wasnt popular, I got invited to partys but I just chose not to go. I much prefered my horses (polo and pepper) to having a boy trying to get you drunk just so he could try it on with you and people smoking marjuana and taking drugs because they're friend were pressuring them into it, with crappy remixs of chart music such as Katy Perry and One Direction blaring out of crackly speakers, frankly not my cup of tea.

Charlie Evans. Where do I even begin with him? There was so many different ways to describe him. Firstly he didn't care about school, always getting in trouble, the only thing he cared about were girls and his motorbike. He was invited to all those boozy, druggy parties that I avoided like the plague, he was the type of boy who tried to get girls drunk just to sleep with them.He was also the most popular boy in high school.

They say oppersites attract but surely this was too much?

CHAPTER 1-----------------------------

"The 268 is here! Anyone for the 268 please catch your bus!" Miss Riches screamed through the loudspeaker.

"Mols!" "Molly!"

It was no use she was so self contained with James her boyfriend that she didn't hear me. I shuffled over feeling awkward about having to break the suckerfish up. Molly is my bestfriend we've grown up together, I've known her since we were tiny, we were inseperable until she started dating James in september, ever since then we've been hanging out less and less,

I couldn't help feeling jealous that she always ditched me for James these days though. Im happy for her I really am, shes fancied James ever since I can remember but now she finally has him its like I dont exsist anymore.

"Earth to Molly Goodman?!"

"Samara!" She squealed running over to me and giving me a special Mols hug.

"How are you? I havent seen you all day! Where have you been?!"

"Sat in the libary with Sally and Bella?"

"Oh crap I was meant to meet you there wasnt I?"

"Yeah I guess... It doesn't matter."

"Aww no smidge don't be like that!"

"Honestly don't worry its fine, I just came over to say don't forget about the assignment thats in for monday and have a good weekend."

"Molly will you hurry up we need to get on the bus!" James yelled over.

"Aw shit I've got to go. Listen I'll chat you on facebook tonight and we'll meet up this weekend, ok?"

"Ok." I replied.

"Great! Bye love you smidge!" She exclaimed jogging to catch up with James to catch the 268. I hated it when she called me that, yes I was small for my age but only a inche or two smaller than her, ok maybe three but still. I paced down the road from school I was by myself because I hadn't waited around long enough for Sally or Bella, I wish I had. It was a long boring walk from school to home and Sally's bad jokes and Bellas contagious laugh made it somehow bareable.

I fumbled around trying to get my new Ipod out my bag when someone barged past me causing my ipod to fly up into the air and land on the concrete and crack the screen into millions of pieces. Shit. I looked up to see familiar green eyes and a impish grin. Charlie Evans. Fabulous, just what I needed.

"Looks like you fucked up your screen pretty darn good! Haha unlucky." He cooed in amusement at my misfortune.

"SERIOUSLY!" I shouted at him as he strode off down the street. I knew he was a jerk but this was just taking the Michael!

"Wassup?"

"That was your fault!"

"It was both our faults I think you'll find."

"No you barged into me making me drop my ipod!"

"No. You werent watching where you were going and neither was I, we're equal!"

"Ok whatever." I said. There was clearly no point in arguing with Charlie. He was a idiotic moron and was just dragging me down to his level.

"Hey, look Im sorry. I really am I shouldnt have laughed, I didnt catch your name before by the way?"

"Samara."

"Pretty name for a pretty girl ey!" He said winking at me. Urghhhh what a player, there was no way of denying that I found him attractive, so did most of the female student body at Woodley High School but his unruly behaviour and his cocky, arrogant personality pretty much cancelled out the fact his face was carved by the gods.

"Hmmm ok thanks Charlie, see you around." I was going to be late home from school if I didn't hurry up.

"Ok Samara no last name! I'll see you at school on Monday, don't miss me too much until then!" He said pacing on down the street and grinning to himself like the cat that had just got the cream. Urghhh what a dick!

As I walked on down the road towards the cresent fold (the estate I lived on) I thought more and more about Charlie calling me pretty, I know I sound stupid being secretly thrilled that he called me pretty because he says the same kind of thing to about a million other girls but after all, dick or not a dick he was still incredibly handsome. I mean I never though I was ugly and I never though I was gorgeous just plain old Samara the girl who cared more about her horses than her appearance.

"Hey mum Im home!"

"Hey sweetie, How did your maths test go?"

"Ok I got a A* so im quite please!"

"Well done hunny! Oh yes Jason has shod the horses for us by the way, it cost me a bloody fortune!"

"Thanks mum, I love you!"

Ever since my dad died three years ago things have been tight and going from living in London, Chelsea with more money than we knew what to do with to a tiny village in Norfolk with a ton of land and having to be careful with our money, lets just say thing have been hard to adjust to. We lived here when I was a still a tiny sprog, thats how I knew Molly but its still been such a massive change.

Beep. Beep.

My phone was buzzing so I sluggishly walked over to it and flopped on my bed.

'You have one new Notification.'

"Urghhh its properly just Molly posting on my timeline" I said to myself out loud but it wasn't.

'Charlie Evans wants to be your friend on Facebook.'

Holy shit.
