Maggie was my light, she was my earth, she had a mind and a soul, as well as just a heart. And she had ambition, and she had talent, as well as just beauty.
She was my sunshine. She was my wife. She was there when i awake and there at night.
Every time i was with her i was reminded that I could die right now... I'm was just so happy. I've never felt that before. I was exactly where I wanted to be.
At first I thought I knew her so well, but I didn't know her at all. What a loss to spend that much time with someone, only to find out that she's a stranger.
You can erase someone from your mind. Getting them out of your heart is another story. I'm starting to forget what she looks like. Thankfully i still have one photo. Hershel is curious as to who his mother was.
If only I could meet someone new who is the exact embodiment of Maggie. I guess my chances of that happening are somewhat diminished, seeing that I'm incapable of making eye contact with a woman who isn't her.
Sometimes I think people don't understand how lonely it is to be a widower, like you don't matter.
Whenever Hershel asks about Maggie I tell him
She is a piece of my life that lives in me. She is a body of beauty and blood and bone that I love. She was my sadness and my hope. But mostly, she was my love.
I saw Negan for the first time in years. Everyone keeps saying that it's not right for me to take revenge but you stop listening to what is true, and you do what you need to do for the sake of others.
Maggie would've wanted this. If she knew I had the chance to take his life she would've wanted me to do it.
