"Thank you guys for coming! I know it's been a tough couple of days with everything going on," the journalist mentions as the guys sit across from her.Nodding their heads, none of them seem to be able to mutter a word at the moment. They were allowed a quick two days to deal with the breakup. Two short days of loneliness and unanswered calls and text messages. The only way they were even able to know she made it back to her hometown safely was because of Jin who thankfully had the inside scoop because of Gypsy.
They didn't blame Lyla for her choice to leave because they knew her heart and knew she was just doing what she thought was best. It was Lyla's nature to put all of the responsibility on herself. As much as they wanted to plead for her to stay, they also knew that they'd have to let her go. She wasn't a prisoner and they'd never force her to do anything she didn't want to do. No matter how much they wanted to.
Taehyung sat at the table, zoned out as he thought back on their first intimate moment together on the tour bus or all of the other times they would spend together and he felt proud to be considered her safe place, where she wanted to be when she needed an escape. Their shared laughs, the times they made love, and the way she made him feel every time she would smile in his direction or give him the encouragement he needed to keep going, it was all so precious to him. But that's all they were now; precious memories of a love once had.
Would he be able to feel that alive again or smile as much as he had with her? Would anyone measure up to the amount of love and support she had always shown him or was he doomed to live the life he did before her? A life of meaningless sex, drugs, alcohol, and insane parties that made the time pass by but the silence when he was alone be so loud that his head hurt. In reality, she was his safe place all along and she didn't even know it.
Jungkook felt himself drifting down a dark path. He didn't get out of bed the last two days and barely did it today. Hoseok and Jin had to make him take a shower and pick out his clothes just so he'd be here right now. He didn't give a fuck about this anymore.
What was the point in anything if he had no one to share it with and she wouldn't be there at the end of the day? Why sleep? Why wake up? Why eat or exercise? Why play music made about her if she was no longer around? He didn't want those songs to be sung by random people that didn't even know him or have to play the chords on the guitar with a passion he no longer felt.
